I arrived at the hotel just in time to put my shopping in my room and then we headed on out. James told us that he knew a nice karaoke-restaurant just nearby, but when we arrived there the place was shut down. So we decided to go to another place, we picked out a Thai-restaurant.
We all talked about the time we spend together these last 14 days. After dinner we decided to go for a drink. We ended up in a sportsbar. There we drank some cocktails and foreign beer and around 12 pm I decided it was time to say goodbye, because my flight left early in the morning. Some others went also to the hotel and after that I watched some TV and then fell asleep.
I had to get up at 5.45 am to catch my ride to the airport, which I arranged in the evening at the hotel lobby.
Day 16: 12/10/00 ==>Flight back to Brussels.
On the airplane I had a nice breakfast, omelet with small hamburger and some fruit. I slept a lot on the plane, since I didn't get much sleep last night. I arrived in Newark after 5 hours or so and there I had just enough time to get to the other gate to catch my connecting flight to Brussels. On the flight to Brussels they showed the same movies as on the first flight to Newark, so I also slept a lot on this flight. I arrived a few minutes earlier in Brussels and there I picked up my luggage and phoned home so that they could pick me up. |
