| My first trip was in September-October 2000 and went from Seattle to San Francisco, as you can see on the little map on the right. I took this trip with an American company called TrekAmerica. The trip is called NorthWest Escape, you probably can guess why. On the next few pages you can read my traveljournal I kept during this 15-day trek. |

| First a little bit about the trip itself. We travelled with a group of 14 people including our driver-guide James. In this group we had several different nationalities such as Belgian, English, Swiss, Australian, Polish, Hungarian. Beneath you can see the Van James drove us around in, so we could enjoy the beautiful surroundings. |
