| Meanwhile Charlotte, one of our British Babes nicknamed Charlie, bought a map to the Stars Homes and we all decided that it would be a nice way to pass some time before we could go to the Santa Monica Pier. So we did a tour of some of the famous residents of LA. We drove through Beverly Hills, Bel Air and the Hollywood Hills. Brooke, the only American Babe and our tourleader, took us also to see the Hollywood sign and told us the history behind it. We didn't see much of the sign, even with binoculars, because it was kind of foggy. Here are some examples of famous residents which houses(or castles) we passed by: Tom Hanks, Ella Fitzgerald, Whoopi Goldberg, Brad Pitt&Jennifer Aniston(they were still building the house), Goldie Hawn&Kurt Russel, and many others. After that little piece of the rich and famous we drove to Santa Monica Pier. We drove by Santa Monica Blvd and Sunset Blvd, the shopping district of those rich and famous. And then we finally made it to the Pacific Ocean. Despite the foggy weather there were quite a lot of people on the beach. The sight wasn't maybe the best because of the fog, but it was still warm enough to take a little dip in the ocean for a lot of locals. We decided to just go to the Pier and there were a lot of streetvenders trying to sell anything to all those tourists(including us). Some had traditional things to sell like hats and T-shirts but there were some with more ingenious products. There was one man who sold grain rice with your name on it(like anyone could tell it was you name or something else written on it). |
