Head Office ING-Bank
The ING building Amsterdamse Poort was designed by the architects Mr. A.Alberts and Mr. M. van Huut. The ING building includes ten towers, with a ground plan that is shaped somewhat like an S. The position of each section in relation to the sun is always different. The changes in lightfall are supposed to make the people more aware of the seasons, the weather and the time of day.
Center of each tower is a light well.

Light installations were placed into the light wells of the ten towers. Reliefs facing the sun crown the upper part of the walls in each of the wells. Along the indoor walkway, connecting the towers, light sculptures were placed in strategic positions in relation to the reliefs. At certain moments, different for each tower, reflected sunlight from the reliefs reach these sculptures, merging reliefs and sculptures into a single work of art.
