Ender's Game: Summary
Ender's Game is set in a future where huge ant-like aliens, the "Buggers", have attacked and almost destroyed the earth. They were narrowly defeated in the last battle, and now the International Fleet has been testing children all over the world searching for the absoluted brightest to command their fleets when the Buggers come again.
The children chosen are taken up to the space station called Battle School, where they are trained in combat through history, math, physics, strategy, etc. and, most importantly, through training in large zero-g rooms in which the children, separated into armies, play elaborate battle games. Ender is the best child the IF has found in a long time. When he comes to Battle School everything, including the game, changes.
As usual, my summaries, becuase I'm attempting to give away no spoilers, end up sounding lame. But the book really is good. Let me know what you think after you read it.
