RSPWF Rankings
Ok, here's an important note... This page has only one rankings left on it - the one won by the JTF!3K1 Tournament Challenge Winner. Aside from that, ALL rankings will be contained in the Falling Cheeseburgers [see link up at the top, too]. That is all.
Resume Old Rankings!
A couple days late, but still great! The Unknown Ranker's Singles & Feds, Double Dog's Tags, and Pat Spendle's Junior rankings are all here, so enjoy them.
Oh, and remember to e-mail your rank response to [email protected]. By the amount of responses last time, we'll keep the rankings going whether or not the responses are small [not to say you shouldn't send one in - PLEASE do. Oh, and keep them in-character please].

Chris Courtade |
NC |
N.E.W. |
Courtade stays on top after a busy cycle. He bested Todd Michaelson at EMWC's No Imitations Accepted, hung onto the N.E.W. World Title at Slam Dance in a no decision against Jack Cody, and pinned "Crimson" Joe Reed at MotR IV before being eliminated himself. Here's the catch, though - Courtade's only going to get better. Scary thought, isn't it? |

Mike Justice |
+1 |
EMWC |
As we await the final part of NIA, the EMWC World Champ awaits a brutal match with The Gremlin. Justice has begun to establish himself as a dominant champion, and you can rest assured that The Gremlin's going to have his work cut out for him in Toronto. |
| 3 |
30 |
Tommy James |
+1 |
GLCW |
Speaking of people that beat Todd Michaelson, add Tommy to that list. He successfully defended the Triple Crowd Title against Todd at the recent All Stars of Wrestling/Chaos (not sure exactly what the show's called now). At any rate, with GLCW's new approach to broadcasting, expect to see Tommy work his way back into contention for the top spot. |
| 4 |
20 |
Scott Daniels |
-2 |
UWF |
Hotspot successfully defended the UWF World Title against Tommy Lionheart on Rampage - not exactly something to write home about. His real challenge lies with Tradition, though, as it appears that said group has picked Rick Styles as the one to go after the title. Now as to why - that's beyond me. |
| 5 |
30 |
The Gremlin |
+2 |
GLCW |
The man's on a roll, what else can you say? He could very well leave Toronto as the new EMWC World Champion, and he's always a threat to win gold in both KCW and GLCW. Looks like Gremlin's finally getting the recognition he's so long deserved. |
| 6 |
38 |
Jeff Matthews |
NC |
EMWC |
Matthews/Temple, the final chapter, coming soon to PPV near you. We hope. This last confrontation between the two rivals hasn't necessarily been the bloodiest, but it's been the worst. Matthews has absorbed tremendous mental and emotional punishment from Temple. Can't wait to see how he reacts when they get in the ring. |
| 7 |
38 |
Casey James |
+1 |
GLCW |
The Blackheart made his return to the EMWC in Toronto, proceeding to thoroughly destroy what was left of Ronnie D's career. He also demanded EMWC Owner Chris Blue to give him Caleb Temple. James/Temple - can you imagine? Casey continues to heat up in GLCW as well, where he's found himself involved in the Kokosun mystery. Kata Ha Jime, step up enzuigiri - it couldn't be. Could it? |
| 8 |
38 |
Caleb Temple |
+2 |
EMWC |
Just when you think Temple has gotten as evil as he could get, he takes it one step further. I'm not even going to describe what he did to Matthews. Watch NIA for yourself, but be warned. It's not for the weak of heart. |
| 9 |
12 |
Doc Holliday |
NC |
UEW |
As the UEW tries to get back on it's feet, Holliday stays active with a fantastic showing at MotR IV, outlasting everyone but Andrew Tucker in their elimination match. He does have a serious challenge in the form of Marcus Manson for his UEW Ultimate Title, and rumors of a jump to the UWF are starting to surface. |
| 10 |
38 |
Alex Martinez |
+2 |
EMWC |
Rumors are floating around, saying that Martinez isn't happy with his current status in the EMWC. He didn't wrestle at NIA, and when a top draw like Martinez is left off the booking, you have to think something's up. No clue where he might pop up should he walk from Los Angeles. Retirement's probably the most logical option. |
| 11 |
16 |
Adam Rogers |
+4 |
EMWC |
Rogers finally takes the next step up the ladder, besting Sam Willis in an incredible Woodshed match to win the North American Title. It now looks like his next challenger will be none other than the #1 man on TFS rankings, Chris Courtade. |
| 12 |
8 |
Alex Extreme |
+1 |
RCW |
Somehow, Extreme keeps on hanging onto the RCW Title, even when everyone's calling for him to lose. You've got to wonder how long he can hold onto it, though, as the talent level in RCW gets better and better each week. Still a top player in UEW and a non-factor in the UWF. |
| 13 |
38 |
Mark Langseth |
-2 |
EMWC |
The curse continues for the former two-time EMWC World Champion, as he loses to Chris Myers at No Imitations Accepted, making it four PPV's in a row that he's lost at, if you count RCW's Caged Rage. Word has it that he's going to take some time off from EMWC. |
| 14 |
8 |
Michelle Bailey |
+2 |
KCW |
Bailey remains the KCW Volunteer Champion, and pinned her arch-rival and Ides of March challenger, Stevie Scott, on the latest SNS. She defends against Billy Higgins on the next show leading into Ides. Quickly becoming one of the most popular wrestlers in the game today. |
| 15 |
38 |
Sam Willis |
-10 |
EMWC |
Willis loses the North American Title to Adam Rogers at NIA - but he also has apparently lost his job in EMWC. No word on what he'll be doing next, but we'll leave him up this week in case he's got an ace up his sleeve. If not, let me be the first to thank Willis for a marvelous run. |
| 16 |
38 |
Devon Case |
+2 |
N.E.W. |
Case's work in N.E.W. has remained solid as of late, although he appears to be stuck in his current position right now. However, Devon has looked quite good lately in EMWC, including pulling double duty at NIA. In fact, Case pretty much looked like the MVP of the War Games match. Big things are ahead for this guy. |
| 17 |
26 |
Jack Cody |
-1 |
N.E.W. |
Cody's been inconsistent as of late, as rumors of a sabbatical have been flying. He's got loads of talent, though, and once he gets back on track, he should make an impact wherever he goes. |
| 18 |
14 |
Serge Annis |
-1 |
UWF |
Like I mentioned about Joe Reed below (because I wrote his summary first), it seems like the creative team doesn't have too much in mind for Annis. Maybe they do and I'm not seeing it? Who knows. Annis is still immensely talented, though, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn up somewhere else. |
| 19 |
36 |
Joe Reed |
NC |
UWF |
Right now, Reed's just kind of there. He's not tanking it by any means, but it seems that the UWF creative team doesn't have a lot in mind for CJR to do other than play his role as leader of Tradition and try like crazy to get Rick Styles over. |
| 20 |
12 |
Jake Shaw |
NC |
EMWC |
Shaw's on a one-man quest to restore some credibility to the EMWC Television Title. Judging by the title's lineage, he may have some hard work ahead of him. Shaw was part of a fantastic match at NIA with Devon Case and The Ribera Kid. Definitely one of the stars for EMWC's future. |
| 21 |
14 |
Brett Hunter |
NC |
N.E.W. |
Hunter won the Rising Star Championship at Slam Dance. He's got a laundry list of challengers waiting for their shots at his title, but considering Hunter's talent, they may all end up Lobotimized. |
| 22 |
12 |
Chi Chi LeVaughn |
NC |
KCW |
As if one LeVaughn isn't enough, we now have two, as KCW signed cousin Ronald to a developmental deal. Chi Chi hasn't lost his spark, though, as he continues to kick it pimp style in KCW, and is beginning to make some noise in GLCW. |
| 23 |
8 |
Bryce Jordan |
NC |
RCW |
He's almost there. In fact, every time he gets in the ring, it's hard not to expect him to end up wearing the RCW Heavyweight Title, and yet - he's not. Word behind the scenes is Catanzaro is afraid to give him the title based on his flakiness, but as much heat as he draws, it's going to be hard to keep the gold off of him much longer. |
| 24 |
38 |
Eddie Jacobs |
NC |
RCW |
The Iron Man showed up in RCW as one of the mystery men, and was immediately attacked by Simon Prime. Prime holds a victory over Jacobs in the UWF, so you can expect Eddie to avenge that loss in RCW. |
| 25 |
6 |
Steve Dumars |
+1 |
NEO |
The more I see of Dumars, the more I wonder when he'll be leaving NEO for a big money contract. He's far and away the best NEO has to offer. Next up for him looks like it could be newcomer Jason Blake. |
| 26 |
26 |
Todd Michaelson |
-1 |
GLCW |
No shame in losing to Tommy James and Chris Courtade in the same week, right? Well, that's what happened to Michaelson, and you can bet his ego won't handle it all that well. Rumors are floating around right now as to what he'll do next, as he's apparently unhappy with GLCW and isn't wanted by EMWC on a full-time basis. |
| 27 |
8 |
Michael Augustine |
+3 |
UWF |
Augustine may have a long, hard road ahead of him to get back to the top of the UWF - but if anyone can do it, it's this guy. |
| 28 |
New |
Victor V. Hill |
NR |
N.E.W. |
VVH shoots onto the charts partially resulting from his winning the MotR tournament, but also due to his solid work in N.E.W., especially with Maxwell Creed. Hill has a very bright future ahead of him, and could become a top player sometime in 2001. |
| 29 |
6 |
Jason Keening |
+4 |
UEW |
The UEW's American Champion seems happier now that he's back full-time where he made his name, and has taken a big role behind the scenes to help keep the company running while Andy Sand recovers from his accident. He'll defend against The Warlock at UEW's upcoming PPV. |
| 30 |
12 |
Ricky Price |
-3 |
N.E.W. |
The Rebel continues to slide out of the top of the card in N.E.W. The additions of guys like Sebastian and Mota don't help his cause any. Still has the talent to be there. |
| 31 |
2 |
Stevie Scott |
+1 |
KCW |
The purveyor of Stevietainment did get pinned by Michelle Bailey on the last SNS, but that doesn't seem to keep him from thinking that he's got the Volunteer Title in the bag when he faces Bailey at Ides of March. Will be a candidate for a big jump should he back up his words. |
| 32 |
12 |
Drake Russell |
-1 |
PAW |
As PAW rebuilds, Russell has his hands full - not so much with challengers, but with shouldering the load of being the man in the company. He's quite talented, and may not be long for the small Texas-based company. |
| 33 |
6 |
Madison J. Valentine |
+3 |
N.E.W. |
Slowly but sure, Maddy Vee works his way up the rankings with solid and hilarious work. A big win in a triangle match at Slam Dance does nothing but help his cause, as he tries to set himself apart from the big names that keep popping up in N.E.W. |
| 34 |
8 |
Idol Austin |
NC |
UWF |
Rumor has it that Austin's having contract disputes with UWF management. That aside, though, he has very little to look forward to in terms of a challenge to his Cruiserweight Title. |
| 35 |
8 |
Dan Kauffman |
NC |
UWF |
Kauffman takes on Luke Sampson on the next Rampage in the finals of the EIT. Should he win, like most are expecting him to, he'll be guaranteed a shot at the World Title. This could be Dan's last shot at the big gold, so expect him to make the best of it. |
| 36 |
New |
Jason Blake |
NR |
RCW |
No one can call me unfair. I do not like Blake. I think he's overpushed everywhere he goes, and is average at best. But, he's getting pushed, and is wearing titles in multiple federations, which means he's earned his way into the top 40. |
| 37 |
2 |
Insanity |
NC |
NNEW |
No action for Insanity this week, as he looks forward to continuing his hot streak and reign atop NNEW. Probably not going to be a long term champion. |
| 38 |
2 |
Eric Vanguard |
NC |
RCW |
Vanguard currently has complete control of RCW, and is booking matches at his own strange whims. Considering his position, you've got to figure him in as a big threat to Extreme's title. He's a bit on the cartoonish side at times - alright, most of the time. |
| 39 |
New |
Elijah Flynt |
NR |
NEO |
Flynt definitely turned some heads at the MotR IV event, only losing to Victor V. Hill in the finals. His work in NEO is solid, so keep your eye on this Englishman. |
| 40 |
8 |
Keith Stebbins |
-1 |
GLCW |
Stebbins has a difficult task coming up next week, as he defends the GLCW Legacy Title against Casey James. A win against wrestling's living legend would be more than big, and would certainly push Stebbins back up the charts. |
Falling Off: Jack Greene, Edmond Winston IV, Brian Storm

EMWC |
Clearly the best in the business today. They took the belts off of the Epitome of Cool, and now firmly plant themselves as the best in the business today. They continue to add to their lofty status- all-time, and quite frankly, are on the verge of climbing to the very, very top. |

Ego Force |

GLCW |
Still #2, and still nipping at the heels of the Frats. A _huge_ turn of events took place at NIA. They also get to defend their titles against the team of Shamir Wallace, and the one and only, Gremlin in the GLCW this week. Big test for Ego Force, time will tell if their recent string of success can continue. |

Been somewhat inactive as of late, but none the less, maintain a firm grip on the UWF tag team titles. I don't see much of a challenge until Gold Rush, where they might have a date with destiny against the Ghost Dancers. |

Another fantastic week of work from the Keening brothers. Continued success, in a less hardcore environment. It appears an obvious UWF tag team title shot with the Harlequins is only matter of time, maybe Gold Rush. |

Maybe it's just me, but the UEW isn't focusing on the tag team division enough. I know of the terrible skiing accident, but none the less, Hatred is really coming into their own, and I look foward to seeing them continuing their success. |

LeVaughn and Valentine pulled off another one last week. They might have the stiffest competition of any tag team champions, of any company in the world right now, and they seem ready to take on all challengers. The challenge of the Monsters of the Midwest could be quite large. |

American Idols |
NC |
RCW |
They recently took over the perch that The Leading Men held for quite some time, and now appear to be right on track to become the elite tag team, in the now very, very, very competitive RCW. I look for them to continue their recent ways, without much of an established challenge. |
| 10 |

Suicide Blondes |
NC |
UWF |
They still maintain their status, as quite possibly the third best tag team in the UWF. Reality? That's still pretty good folks. Behind McCoys' leadership, which some say bring them down...because she always is...they should continue their recent ways, and look right up at the Dancers, and Harqs. |

UEW |
Took a hard loss for their titles, but in a screwjob ending, who knows? Rumors are swirling they might break up, and head back to singles, or just retire all together. I hope they don't, as the boys from Down Under really cement the growing UEW tag team division. |

KCW |
Nash and Hunter are lined up, directly at the KCW belts. Look for the Ides of March to really be a testing ground for these two. Can they pull off the odds of beating GoF, considering the stacked deck? Who knows, only time will tell. |

Team Canada |
NC |
UWF |
They just plug along folks, and they do so better then anyone else. Mainstays in this business for many a year, and they don't seem to want let up any time soon. Look for them to make runs at the RCW, and UWF tag team title belts, because damn't, they deserve too after a while. |

The AWP cracks the rankings this week, after solid work from their tag team division. At ranking time, their PPV wasn't telecast yet, so, I'm not sure what the situation with their champions are. PPD and the Renegades have had one fanstastic program, however, and I don't look for that to end at the PPV. |

TORA Wanizame |
- |
G-Pro, CACAO, EMWC, GLCW, RCW |
Just when his career seemed to be on the rebound again, this happened. I guess we just didn't know the real TORA, the man who committed suicide that must have been tormented. It's a shame to see him go since he was always a joy to watch in the ring and one of the better puro wrestlers on the microphone. His days in G-Pro are his best, but he had some good days in EMWC and GLCW as well. |

Raya Oscura |
NC |
RCW |
With the terrible news of TORA Wanizame's death, it means the the RCW Lightheavy-weight division is weak again. Oscura doesn't really have anyone to go with now in a feud, so expect the title to probably take a backseat as Oscura and Jason Blake try to go for tag team gold. |
| 2 |
4 |
Macht Kraftwerk |
+7 |
EMWC |
He's got one of the more prestigeous titles in the Cruiser world and beat three other men in the process of getting it, so Kraftwerk deserves this spot. I still think he's inferior to many other cruisers in terms of talent, but in overall character, he's pretty good. Though, he must hope that he didn't injure DPZ severly at NIA. |

2 |
Sushi Tsunami |
+3 |
NEO |
Since the last rankings, Tsunami put on a hell of match at Snowed In - beating SHIIRABAKU Hidaki - and then put on yet another amazing match in the main event on Saturday Special - beating Dean Williams. Wouldn't mind seeing a match between Tsunami & Oscura |

Idol Austin |
NC |
UWF |
Austin's ride up the rankings stop this week cause of performance of other athletes. However, he's in danger of falling a bit - not because of tough challengers to his title, but rather because of no challenges to his title. Even the VP of the UWF cruiser division is meddling elsewhere. |

GLCW |
Hasn't been on GLCW TV in a while and now his "challenge" to his title is Danger Boy Wanizame since Puerro Culero and La Pulga Gigante haven't been on programming in a while either. It's a shame to see such talent not utilized. |

Dr. Pirateo Z |
-4 |
EMWC |
Drops hard only because of the questions about his health after the top rope powerbomb in the Junior match that cost him his EMWC Junior title. I would have to imagine that DPZ is going to take a long time off, if not to heal then the grieve his former Zokogun Sangai stablemate TORA Wanizame. Here's hoping he can come back soon - the Junior world needs him. |
| 7 |
4 |
Bilal Masai |
-2 |
EMWC |
Put up a good fight, but just wasn't in the class that Kraftwerk and DPZ were. In reality, Masai's a heavyweight talent in a cruiserweight body, so I expect Masai to probably go after the EMWC TV title now and compete in the heavies - as he does in KCW & AWP. If he sticks around in the Junior division, he's got to be #1 contender to Kraftwerk's title. |

SHIIRABAKU Hidaki |
NR |
NEO |
Yes, he lost to Tsunami at Snowed In and drew a draw against Seth Draken, but that's not all that bad [and considering the somewhat weak cruiser-world right now, it's pretty good]. In both matches, he's displayed great ability in stiff & aerial wrestling. Still the man that can nab the Skyweight title from Tsunami. |

Darky Devil |
-2 |
EMWC |
Was the first man eliminated at the Junior match at No Imitations Accepted, but I think that's just cause the match was really going to end in DPZ vs. Kraftwerk anyway. It doesn't seem the Masai/DD angle is over, so if that continues and Kraftwerk's just lingering with the title, look for Darky to have it to pump up the feud. |

Like Masai, Blake's a heavy in a cruiser body. He's signed on to the NEO roster for the skyweight division, but I doubt he can keep up with the talent there. Plus, with his name, NEO would be better served using him to bolster their top-level area. |

With two-thirds of No Imitations Accepted having been aired, I'd place that show second only to RCW's Caged Rage for best show of the new year - and don't forget, we've still got Matthews/Temple and Justice/Gremlin left to go. The Bill Masterson segment that kicked off the show was as funny a thing as I've seen in ages. Casey James is officially back in the fold, and it looks like the Down Boys are returning for one last feud with the Frats. |

Depending on who you talk to about Slam Dance, you'll get different reactions. I thought it was average. The action was solid, but nothing really struck me as being earth-shattering, either. Slam Dance seems to be, in essence, Shockwaves on steroids. Still, they've got loads of talent, and are deserving of their billing as one of the best around. |

KCW |
NC |
The more I watch KCW, the more I'm convinced that this is the home of the best unknown talent in the business. Plus, the booking is solid, production remains consistent, and shows are fun to watch. The Gremlin's already a well-known name, and guys like Michelle Bailey, Chi Chi LeVaughn, and Stevie Scott are getting there. But beyond them, they're still loaded with talent like Rembrandt, MacCloud Valentine, Adam Donovan, Brian Storm, and others. |
| 4 |
24 |
UWF |
NC |
Just when it looked like they had things going on the up and up, they once again encounter production problems, and then put out a sub-par Rampage show. The size of the roster is one thing that's proving to be the cause of some big-time problems; Sarah Reed is trying so hard to get everyone matches, it ends up lowering the quality of programming. Hour One of the latest SNR proves that. |
| 5 |
16 |
RCW |
NC |
RCW encountered a minor problem with production after Caged Rage, but now has things back on track, as they continue to put out solid work - not to mention the fact that Catanzaro keeps landing big-time stars. His most recent additions include "Iron Man" Eddie Jacobs and Simon Prime, which leads me to believe that he's either breaking the bank or struck a deal with a major federation in a talent-sharing agreement. |
| 6 |
26 |
GLCW |
NC |
GLCW Owner Andy Wilczak classified his new programming venture a "mild success". His new approach does seem to have a lot of promise, once all the kinks get worked out. Chaos was a solid show, and the new broadcast team of Jeff Stewart, Rob James, and Sir Marcus Von Falcone is fantastic. They'll probably be moving back up the rankings soon. |
| 7 |
6 |
NEO |
+2 |
After spending a fair amount of time - and money - hyping up their recent PPV, Wallace Storm and NEO delivered with a solid show. The opening match between Sushi Tsunami and SHIIRABUKA Hideki was nearly a five-star affair, and the build-up to the Steve Dumars-Matthew Reason main event was tremendous. The Elijah Flynt-Dean Williams brawl was another top notch match. NEO definitely has something good to build on - if they can continue to improve the quality of their current talent and their production, they'll keep moving up. |

PAW |
-2 |
After a hot run in late 2000/early 2001, PAW has hit a big snag, having lost a lot of the talent they built around. No doubt about the fact that they're rebuilding right now, and to make it worse, they've limited their viewing audience. They may be finding themselves out of the top 10 soon. |
