Well, here I am again... Chock Full, reopening Just the Facts for the... third time now? Well, even I'm wondering why I'm doing this. I mean, if you look at the wrestling industry the past couple months, there's really not much to discuss about... The only major news that occurred is what star from the bygone era either retired or died. Kind of depressing, no?
When all you've had to follow the past couple months were the teasing of an EMWC comeback, "final show" that thankfully didn't happen [didn't have the staff as the last time and wouldn't have lived up to the hype - nothing could] or seeing what old relic could be mismanaged on the latest I-Slash show, there's really not much to be bothered with. When all the year-end lists are filled with no names, never weres, and no talent hacks from small, unimportant indy feds, you KNOW the industry as a whole is going down the chute, ready to be burned to a crisp by the furnace awaiting below.
So when then muck about with a new site? Why bother? Especially after I, myself, opened one of those small, unimportant indy feds that failed miserably? Well, one, that failure cost me a bit of dough and I need to recoup it with a new venture... But more importantly... FINALLY... There's things to discuss about. There's action beyond the I-Slash's and NEO-Pro's of the world. There's prospects of talent that hit their prime when the industry went down returning to their full glory. Instead of having to read the recaps of house shows in Anytown, USA, there'll be some actual, watchable wrestling on the boobtube. THAT'S why this little old site is comeback, full force... TFS-style.
River City Wrestling, Longhorn Wrestling Council, Blood, Sweat, and Chairs Wrestling, Grand Isle Wrestling in addition to GLCW, UWF, NEO-Pro, NBW, and I-Slash and the many domestic & international feds that can only reach fans via the internet reporters' summaries. A sense of community is building once again - at least the one that I've known as true. The familiar wrestlers, commentators, and owners back again to revive this corner of the industry to its glory once again.
Will it be another '98? '01? Will there be a whole slew of new stars in addition to the returning headliners & legends? Who knows? All I know is that it'll be something to enjoy and something to follow.
