SUMMER SHOWDOWN BEGINS TO TAKE SHAPE
After what transpired on this weekend�s episode of CROSSFIRE, CWA officials had many decisions to make. The war between Tim Selvidge and Dallas Richards has made it very difficult to have fair outcomes of recent matches. As a result, both men have been booked in the THIRD announced match to take place at SUMMER SHOWDOWN on August 10th.
CWA President Michael Castillo has insisted that there will be a stipulation to help wrangle in the competitors, but that announcement has not been made at the time of this printing. Currently, there are three matches announced to take place at the Pyramid in Long Beach that day � the CWA Heavyweight Title Match; the CWA Television Title Match and the bout between Selvidge and Richards.
Most believe that at least 2-3 more matches will be announced leading up to this grand event and that they will be announced in the coming weeks, maybe days. Don�t waste another minute and check out the SUMMER SHOWDOWN CARD!
JAY BENEDICT V. JOHNNY DOWNING II - The Rematch
Late Thursday afternoon the CWA booking committee released a press statement announcing that the confusion and uncertainty surrounding the conclusion of this past week�s episode of CROSSFIRE will soon be cleared up.
The main event between Jay Benedict and Johnny Downing became a topic of concern in the CWA Front Office when it abruptly ended in a Draw. Earlier in the night, Dylan Callahan defeated Dallas Richards, earning a berth in the CWA Heavyweight Title Match at SUMMER SHOWDOWN. Upon the conclusion of the Downing/Benedict match, he felt we deserved to be named champion outright, but CWA Officials had different plans.
On July 13th�s installment of SUPERSTARS, Jay Benedict will be pitted against Johnny Downing once more in a decisive re-match to clearly identify Callahan�s opponent at SUMMER SHOWDOWN. CWA President Michael Castillo also said that there WILL be a winner and he will guarantee this because the bout will be Best 2 of 3 Falls Match!
