* It looks like the Fleet Center in Boston will be sold out for the upcoming Glory pay-per-view, and chances are the last remaining tickets could be sold in the next week, more than a month before the event itself. Apparently ticket sales sky-rocketed in the days following the last Impact broadcast, when it was revealed that Juan Vasquez, Luke Kinsey and Shane Destiny will meet in a three-way match for the World title.

* RCW owner Clint Fletcher made a rare appearance backstage at Impact this past week, gathering all of the wrestlers and key staff together an hour before the show went on the air. Fletcher, who has been content to stay out of the way and let the likes of Jim Catanzaro and Robert Durango run the Impact broadcasts, gave a heartfelt speech about the importance of the upcoming pay-per-view. He referred to RCW's proud pay-per-view history, and about the fact that Glory was the organisation's first ever PPV, back in 2001. He also spoke of the legacy of wrestlers who've put on classic matches at Glory, such as Ken Curtis, Chris Courtade, Devon Case and Dan Kauffman. The speech seemed to visibly inspire some of the younger and newer talent.

* RCW made sure to cash in on its first visit to Canada in four years when it broadcast Impact from Toronto. Leading up to the night of the show, RCW ran a two-day Fan Convention in the city, with several big name wrestlers appearing to sign autographs and meet with the fans. Among the most popular were Canadian superstar Madison J. Valentine and the Epitome of Cool (Dan Thomas is also Canadian).

* The return of HERO Ishikawa was a big hit with the fans, but apparently not so with certain members of the RCW lockerroom. Word is that Ishikawa's arrogant attitude has ruffled a few feathers in the past.

* Vandal Gomez was released this week from his RCW contract. Gomez had been off RCW TV for several weeks - officials were said to be unhappy with his work ethic, and his character never really seemed to gel with the fans. Gomez's match with Corey Hart on Impact was his last in RCW.

* Look for a familiar face to show up on the next Impact, and it's also likely that the two as-yet-unnamed tagteams for the World tagteam title match at Glory will also be revealed.
