--NEO-Pro officials have put a freeze on the roster and will not
allow any more tryouts for the time being. They are hoping to
eventually bring the roster down to the original twenty they aimed
for, touring talent (free agents or from other companies) being
brought in for shorter shots instead of try outs. The twenty person
roster does not include the tag or womans division which will most
likely have between 4-6 each.
--Soup Bone Samson's promo on INVASION! Border Crossing had many
people giving a second look but officials have expressed the fact
that the grizzled veteran left on the best of terms due to injury.
Healed (as much as he can), Samson looks to make one last run before
retirement.
--The two day Uncivil War Supercard will also be used as a measuring
ground for NEO-Pro officials
to determine if any cuts need to be made.
--NEO-Pro officials also released a slight change in the naming of
shows. Instead of naming the specific episode of INVASION! before
the show, they will name if after to better reflect what happened
during the event.
--A tentative lineup for the next 'cycle' has also been released
including a short tour in Japan. The NEO-Pro Arena will host
INVASION! following Uncivil War. From there, the company will
travel to Japan for a trio of shows. Three are now being booked in
Japan instead of the previous 2 and 1 in Australia due to SPW being
bought out and moved to the US to become the revitalized RCW. After
that they will return to the NEO-Pro Arena followed by a show at the
Stampede Pavilion in Calgary, Alberta. They are looking at a six
show schedule before the next (as yet unnamed) supercard/PPV.
There are also rumors that the Japan shows may feature a split crew
with shows being held in Canada or the US on the same day.
--WAVE has expressed interest in participation during the three show
tour of Japan. The idea for the Southern Cross Cup once discussed
with SPW may be used during that time instead. The Southern Cross
Cup was to be a mixed NEO-Pro/SPW team JHW tournament.
--The Japan shows may possibly end up being a joint effort with
WAVE, combining their two shows into one. The final show of the tour
will be somewhat of a mini-supercard with title matches and several
high profile bouts.
--Due to recent reconciliation there has been some talk of reviving
the never happened BSCW/NEO-Pro joint card.
--An all Canada supercard featuring IWF/WOW, UWF and NEO-Pro?!
Don't count it out!
--Look for Reality Bytes to feature 1-3 pretaped (possibly clipped)
matches as well for several shows as a try out. This will be
similar to "A Show of Force" that was taped before turning into NEO-
Pro.
--The company has also been somewhat worried with the reopening of
several prominent wrestling companies including GIW, BSCW, LWC and
RCW. Many wrestlers have asked to compete in these feds
concurrently with their stay in NEO-Pro, possibly leading to diluted
work or tired workers. However, NEO-Pro officials are not denying
anyone the chance to compete anywhere, simply wishing the best for
everyone.
--Psicopa will continue to fly back and forth as he is competing in
the Japanese company WAVE, as part of a joint NEO-Pro/WAVE
cooperation. He and Sushi Tsunami defeated GLORY Satsujin and HERO
Ishikawa on a recent show. Psicopa will compete on their next show
in the main event against Tasogare No Prince, a much anticipated
rematch of their TSTL 3 semi final contest. Sushi Tsunami has also
been invited to wrestle in an undercard bout on the same show though
his participation is not yet confirmed. Look for these matches to
be aired on upcoming Reality Bytes as part of the aforementioned
test run of matches on that show.
