Fan's View of PWR Show "Who's The King?"
By PWR Fan

With a group of friends I made yet another pilgrammage to Pro Wrestling Revolution. I can safely bet that I am one of the few who's been to every show AND in the front row. Yay me. We arrived a couple hours early and this allowed us to grab a bite to each at a local place. We came back and actually got to meet both Tyson Bryson and Matt James. I've seen these two wrestle all over the place as Debonaire. If you get a chance, pick up their TLC match in NEO. Good stuff.

Finally the show got underway and man alive, the crowd was pumped. The place was pretty full and everyone went nuts. We got John Stegglet, a legend around here not to mention Brian Lau... and fat chicks. Geez. It gave us a good laugh anyhow.

The show opened with a quick paced lucha match featuring a bunch of SWLL guys. I am thinking the match might not come off well on tape as it was just basically a bunch of spots but it was fun as hell live and really got the crowd into it.

Now, the whole Stevie Scott/Temple/Todd thing... I always figured that would be something you'd see in the big leagues like EMWC or UWF or something. Very sports entertainment but hey, you gotta have something for everyone. Temple still scares me, but he isn't the same person. Live, he looked haggard and worn out. Very tired. The whole part with Lori Dane getting burned and all that wasn't up my alley but hey, they pulled it off damn good. I'll give them credit for that. There were actual people in the audience frightened by it and I swear one woman was crying.

The Matthew Yates/Johnny Malibu match was a treat! It was one stiff contest. I seriously think these two hate each other for real. Yates was just vicious with his kicks and chops... AND FACEWASH! He could be a big star with some direction, not to mention a fan favorite. His whole gimmick and angle seems... weird... but I am sure it'll develop well enough. On a side note... the Xlerator was the spot of the night! He hit it FULL on. Damn.

Coats/Bryson was... weird. Coats tapped out once he was put in the sharpshooter and ran away right after. I was sitting in the front row. He didn't even look like he was hurt.

So, then we get the goddamn brawl of the year as Blackwater Bart and Tony Cameron TORE the house down! I didn't get to see much outside as I was on the far side of the building and therefore one of the last people out. Not to mention this ass in a Shaq jersey who was standing in front of me. All he did was mark out about EMWC the whole time. The match was brutal though, no way you can work the bumps they took. Back inside it got damn good and damn brutal. It was like some 80's match coupled with strong style and was wonderful. I don't know if the right man won as Cameron is a bonafide star and Bart might be gone just as soon as he came. Either way, this was a show stealer.

Surprising Jaiden Andrews and Crusher Tyler was maybe the loudest match of the night outside parts of the main event. The entire place took sides here as the M-Dojo has become quite a favorite of us local marks. It was a great showcase of what these guys can do and I certainly hope we get to see a rematch.

The main event was off the charts! This is maybe the best indy match I've seen live! Rubinov!! The russian is huge! This match was all over the place. Everyone looked great in it, even Dufresne who shocked EVERYONE by winning it. That wasn't the big shock though. Tyson Bryson was. He eliminated Rubinov who everyone was sure was going to win it when he walked in. I don't really know what to say about this other then wow. TORA Wanizame... Juvenil Infierno... Alexander Rubinov... this was like a smart marks dream in there. Go out of your way to get the DVD or tape just for this match. It's going on my MOTY list, that's for sure.

Over all, this was the best PWR show I've been to. It had a big, supercard feel to it with all the big name stars and big matches. Even the after stuff was great. A bunch of guys came out to take pictures and autographs.

Fun time. Everyone needs to go to a PWR show once.
