News From The River City
By RCW Staff

* RCW bosses are said to be very happy about the buzz surrounding Alex Martinez's debut. The shocking appearance of the "Last American Badass" on the most recent Impact has created quite a buzz, with even internet "smarks" not expecting it.

* As one superstar enters, another exits. Martinez's debut came at the expense of Tripp Shade. The beatdown of Shade by Martinez, Extreme and Colby was always in the plans, but was going to be the catalyst of a feud. But when Shade arrived at New Orleans Arena he informed management that he was quitting...apparently retiring from wrestling altogether, although details are kind of...uh...shady. He agreed to do the job before leaving, and was given an extra vicious beatdown as a farewell present by the annoyed RCW bosses. One senior staffer was heard to say "Never again. We've given that guy enough goddamn chances".

* Another former world champion from a long-dead wrestling organisation has been signed by RCW, and will probably make his debut on the next Impact.

* Currently beginning a heel run in RCW, Alex Extreme hopes to get the fans booing him at every opportunity. But backstage, there couldn't be a more popular guy than the original RCW champion. In stark contrast to his moody loner gimmick, Alex gets on with just about everyone, and continues to be the consumate "company man" he was during RCW's first run. His willingness to put storylines before his own ego hasn't gone unnoticed by company brass either.

* RCW writers are using Griffin James, Jamie Haruhara, Shane Destiny and Hannibal Carver together in promos because out-of-character, the four are virtually inseperable. They hang out together, and are gaining a reputation backstage for their partying antics. In-character, look for Destiny and Carver to remain at odds, with James and Haruhara caught up in it somehow.

* The first pay-per-view since RCW's return will most likely be held at the Savvis Center in St Louis....venue for several of the River City's biggest shows in the past. Word is the PPV's name will be a blast from the past.
