Born in Vancouver, Canada, Joshua decided on an acting careet at age nine when seeing other kids on TV. His first job was an advertising campaign for �Beautiful British Columbia�.

Josh�s first feature film role was in Michael Bortman�s Crooked Hearts for MGM/Pathe in 1991, which was followed by Andre, Tombstone, Digger and Magic in the Water. Between films, Josh made his stage debut playing the lead rold of Charlie in the Seattle production of �Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factoty�. He also starred in the Mighty Ducks triology as Charlie Conway, the coach�s prodigy hockey player an the team�s voice of reason.

He was also seen alongside Jared Leto and Rebecca Gayheart in Colunbia Picures� Urban Legend, Phoenix Pictures� Bryan Singer directed Apt Pupil, starring Ian McKellen and in a cameo role in Scream 2, as a cynical film class student. It was while on location for Dawson�s Creek in Wilmington, North caroline, that executive proder Kevin Williamson approached Josh with a request to appear in the film, claiming it would be a huge favour.

Josh�s other feature projects include Colunbia Pictures� Cruel Intentions, a contemporary teen adaptation of Dangerous Liaisons set in an affluent New York prep school starring Buffy the Vampire Slayer�s Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. During the recent hiatus, Josh filmed starring roles in The Skulls, a Universal Pictures thriller co-starring Steve Harris, in which he plays an Ivy-Leaguer who enters a notorious secret society. Josh also filmed Gossip, where he plays the victim of a vicious rumour, starring alongside Kate Hudson and X-men�s James Marsden

Joshua�s previous television redits include starring roles in two Showtime Contemporary Classics � as John Prince, Jr in Robin of Locksley and as Ronnie in an updated version of Romeo and Juliet entitled Ronnie and Julie. Josh has also had small roles in Champs, the DreamWorls/ABC series created and produced by Family Ties producer Gary David Goldberg.

Recent news reveals that Josh will be starring in two more films in the coming year, �Lone star state of mind�, playing a young mechanic whose testimony 20 years ago put away his father's murderer; and �The Safety of Objects� in which he plays Glenn Close's son, who falls into a coma after being in a car accident. Josh was also the voice of the environmentalist Jesse Grass in an Simpsons episode called Lisa the Tree Hugger.

Further news has revealed that Josh will be involved in 3 new film projects - "The Laramie Project", "Ocean's Eleven", and "The Butterfly Effect". Go to the news section for more details

But for most of the time, Josh continues his role as Pacey Witter in the massive Dawson�s Creek created by Kevin Williamson, for 2 more seasons
