The Troop was founded in 1935, but was shut down for a period of time during WWII. It is believed that it was due to lack of leadership. For some reason I guess they thought it was more important to defend our country. Before the Troop was shut down three members of the original Troop recieved the highest rank in Scouting that of Eagle Scout, Jack Write, Robert Meier, and Charles Foley.

The Troop was then rediscovered and opened back up in 1958. Pack 115 exsited at Eastridge Grade School. The 1958 Webelos were ready to cross over to Boy Scouts. Webelos Bob Hawes's dad was going to help restart Troop 115 at St. John's UCC and become the first Scoutmaster of the new reformed Troop. Sadly, Mr. Hawes was killed in an auto accident, So another one of the fathers in the Pack,
Walter Wolfe, decided he would be the one to head up the Troop. At that time Pack 115 then moved to St. John's. Some of the Scouts in the Troop at that time were Tom Barth, Wayne  and Jim Reynolds, Bob Cheney, Paul Strickland, and Tom Wolfe. Paul Strickland was instrumental in getting the Firecrafter Program started in the Troop. Tom was the first Eagle Scout of the reformed Troop. The Wolfe family lived east of German Church Road on Prospest. According to Kenn Reinhardt. a scout at the time of Walter Wolfe's term as Scoutmaster says he was tough as nails. He said it would not be a good thing to pull his chains. Walt had two key rules about the Troop. One is that a boy could not be in the Troop if he had a "sponsor"--dad, mom, uncle, ect. The other is that the troop would go camping, heck or high water. Walter's son Tom had served as SPL and at the time Scout Kenn Reinhardt said that he had lots of energy and Kenn would never forget the way he led songs like "Do your ears hang Low" and "The Jaybird Song" Kenn said that he would get them to sing until their voice box was about to come flying out of their throats! After Tom got his Eagle Walter steped down and Ed Clifford took over. Ed and his were involved in Pack 115. It was around 1961 when his son Dale joined the troop into the Geese patrol. It was about 1967 when Ed took over as Scoutmaster. After Ed, Jack Helfrich took over as Scoutmaster. His son John was a Scout in the troop. John Helfrich is currently the Pioneer District Venturing Chairman. During these times the Troop did a lot of camping at Aunt Ruby's. Aunt Ruby Dragoo was an elderly lady with a lot of land and enjoyed having the Troop Camp on her property. In 1967 Kenn Reinhardt. a member of the troop worked at Camp Belzer and was a Firecrafter Council Officer.

The Troops first Firecrafters were Robert H. Lombard and Robert G. Lombard, earning there Firecrafters in 1960.  In 1967 Kenn Reinhardt became the first Minisino in the Troop followed by Ralph Moore in 1968 and Ron Lagler in 1970.  In 1973 Vern Roe took over as Scoutmaster.  During his rain he produced seven Eagle Scouts.  The Troop continued to be strong in Firecrafter and attended Camp Hamilton for Summer Camp.  John Cass served as Scoutmaster for a year in 1977 and then the job was taken over by Joe Masterson in 1978, who as of 2003 was still an active member in the troop, he served until 1981.  From 1974 to 1985 the troop did not produce any Eagle Scouts.  The troop did a lot of outdoor camping and activities focusing on the fun and wonder of Scoutings realm.  Bill Robinson followed Joe for a year serving as Scoutmaster in 1982 and then Warren Smith took over in 1983.  The Troop continued to be successful.  Skip Robbins took over in 1987 leading the troop to the outdoors and back up Eagle Mountain.  During Skip's run as Scoutmaster he helped his Scouts head up the trail.  But the results did not show until Dale Clifford took over in 1990, producing 11 Eagle Scouts during his time as Scoutmaster.  In 1995 Scout leader Bill Thomas was honored with Minisino, and in the mid 90's under Dale's run as Scoutmaster Dale produced three outstanding Eagles who would later be honored with Minisino, Mark Wade, Ryan Reed, and Scott Martz.  Also in 1995 Pack 115 was shut down, due to lack of leadership and Pack 110 became 115's main feeder pack.  Following Dale was Mike Power.  Mike was not into the extras but was in for the fun in Scouting.  Kenn Reinhardt a former 115 Eagle Scout became Scoutmaster, followed by Bill Thomas.

In 1999, Former Scoutmaster and Troop 115 Eagle Dale Clifford was honored with Minisino, and Troop 115 Eagle Scout and Assistant Scoutmaster and a former SPL, Justin Scott was honored in 2001 with Minisino.  Justin also received the Walter J. Schuccman Leadership Award from CAAC, which he was the first to do this in the troop.  After receiving Minisino Justin Scott became very involved in Firecrafter and Summer Camps.  Justin started working at Camp Ransburg in 1998 and as of 2003 was serving as Scoutcraft Director.  Justin was uniquely given the nickname "Sox" for always wearing knee high soxks.  Other Troop 115 Camp Staff members included: At Camp Ransburg - Bill Thomas '90-Present, Dave Thomas, David Howell, and Everett Blume. Camp Belzer - Scott Martz, Ryan Reed, and Mark Wade.  Camp Kikthawenund - John McCoy.

One of Troop 115's greatest leaders was a man named Art Lagler.  Art has been a part of Troop 115 since the early 60's.  He joined the Troop as an adult leader with his son Ron.  After Ron became an Eagle Scout and moved on Art stayed with the Troop and continued to help.  Art was very instrumental with the Firecrafter program in the Troop.  He was considered the Fire by Friction Guru, knowing everything there was to know about the subject.  Art was also known for his extraordinary gateways.  Art received many awards and honors for his talents and dedication.  Some of them included the District Award of Merit, Minisino, A Share of Stock, and in 2003 along with former 115 Scout Howard Foster was honored with the Silver Beaver Award.

In 2001-2002 the Troop picked up the Firecrafter program sending through 10 Firecrafters.  in 2001 Justin Scott was the Firecrafter Council Secretary and then in 2002 the Firecrafter Council Chief, along with the webmaster of www.Firecrafter.org.  Kenn Reinhardt served as Firecrafter Advisor.  As of 2003 the Troop was going strong with around 30 registered Scouts, and potential to grow.  Some of the Key leaders at the time were:  Jim Scott, Kevin Fife, Jeff Stroude, and Terry Webster.
