Jerry Seinfeld once thought he'd found the perfect woman - she was his mirror image. Seinfeld's ideal woman loved Superman, eating cereal and making wisecracks, so he proposed marriage. But the familiarity soon suffocated him. "I can't be with someone like me - I hate myself!" |
Love, Elaine Style Making up and breaking up took on new meaning for Jerry and Elaine. Here is a unique look at some of their more idiosyncratic grievances.Respect for Personal Space: Elaine's relationship with Aaron (Judge Reinhold), a close-talker and exceedingly nice guy, is just too close for comfort. Hairstyle: Downfall of a clothing-salesman boyfriend -- a pretentious, pony-tailed Englishmen. Elaine shows inability to relate. Lack of Hair: Any suitor resembling George is immediately disqualified. Social and Intellectual Capacity: Elaine characterizes Tony as a "mimbo," the male equivalent of a bimbo. Once again, Elaine cannot relate, and ends the relationship. Ego: Elaine dates "The Maestro," a snobby conductor who insists people refer to him as "The Maestro." His class-conscious view of society, and her inability to conduct, eventually ends the relationship. Ability to "Perform": A Sponge-worthy saxophone player (Jeff Yagher) is voted incompetent following his inability to reach the upper-octave of his instrument. Worship: Elaine cuts Crazy Joe (Peter Crombie) loose when she learns that he is obsessed with her and has turned his apartment into a shrine to her. |
