"Pizza!" Michelle exclaimed as she stood to answer the door. Sure enough, the pizza man was standing outside the door. "Come in, lemme get my wallet." She walked back to her desk and paid the man, including tip. "We have too much for just us." She stated once the man had left.
"Come on, you can't eat a whole pizza by yourself?" Justin teased her.
"No, can you?" He shook his head and she giggled at him. Angie was called to help seconds later. She took one pizza to the front to eat what she could and give away what she couldn't.
"So what are you doing tonight?" Justin bit into a piece of pizza.
  "Uuumm watching a movie, you?"
  "What movie?"
"I dunno, I was going to rent something on the way home." She set down her piece of pizza and looked up at him.
"Wanna watch a movie at my place? I have a theater."
"Sure. What movies do you have?"
  "What do wanna watch?"
"Do ever answer a question with an answer? Uum you have Way of the Gun?" She retrieved her pizza.
"Yeah, you like that movie?" He chuckled.
"Yeah, come on Ryan Phillipe, what girl doesn't?" She giggled at his hurt expression.
"A lot of people say I look like him." She looked at him playfully studying him.
"I don't see it." She giggled as she gathered her things.
"Come on, before I change my mind." He took her arm in his as he led her to the parking lot.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Couches?" She looked around the theater at all the matching leather couches.
  "What did you expect?"
"I dunno." She took a seat on a nearby couch. Justin started the movie then joined her.
"What are you doing for dinner tonight?" He asked as the opening credits ran.
"We just had lunch and you are thinking about dinner?"
"Remember you are a busy person. Just wanna make sure you aren't busy."
"Well sorry to dissapoint you but I am." She wasn't actually being honest. She was going to be busy dodging him.
"Oh, then I'll starve. No it's ok, don't worry about me." He held his hand to his forehead in mock dispare.
"You'll be okay." She turned her attention to the movie.
She was asleep thirty minutes into the movie. He ran his fingers through her hair and was amazed that it was so soft. Most people with curly hair loaded it with gel, hers seemed to have nothing at all in it. Her eyelashes began to flutter and caught his attention. He covered her with a blanket and returned his attention to the movie. Seconds later he heard sobs. At first he thought it was the movie, but after a few minutes he realized it was coming from within the room. He turned to see Michelle crying in her sleep. He didn't know what to do. Should he wake her or leave her alone? After debating the issue he chose to wake her.
"Michelle, wake up." He whispered gently into her ear. She stretched and opened her eyes..
"The movie over?" Oblivious to the fact she had been crying in her sleep.
  "No, you were..."
"Asleep? I know I am sorry. I have been running myself ragged lately." She sat up as she spoke.
  "You okay?"
"Yeah, fine. I just need to get home." She stood for a brief second then fell back onto the couch.
"You can stay here." Justin stood and helped her up.
"No, really I need to get home." She couldn't stay the night with him, how would that look? She gathered her thoughts and things, then made her way into his livingroom. He was one step behind her the whole time.
"Want me to drive you home?" She was looking a little disoriented.
"Sure, as long as I get home." She gave up, it would be no use fighting him, he seemed a little strong willed.
"Lemme get my keys." Then he disapeared, but only briefly, he was back in seconds. "Let's go." He led her to his car with a hand on the small of her back.
"Thanks." She breathed as he shut her door for her. She was back asleep before he made it to her house.
"Come on, sleepy, we have to make it into the house."
"Yeah." She opened her door, and made her way to the front door. She slid the key into the lock and turned it, opening the door.
"Ready for bed?" He chuckled at her sleepy expression.
"I think so." She walked up the steps expecting him to leave, instead he followed her. "Hang on." She walked into the closet to change as he took a seat on her bed.
"You safe now?" He asked her once she had returned to the room.
"Yeah." She plopped down onto the bed.
"Can I ask you a question?" He didn't wait for an answer. "Why are you so tired at five in the afternoon?"
"I had a long night." She ran her fingers through her hair, it was something she always did when she was nervous.
"Why aren't you looking for a man?" He pushed his limits, it was something he had always done. Live life to it's fullist, who cares if someone is mad? He always knew what he wanted to.
"I've had my fair share." She laid back to appear comfortable with his questioning, even though she wasn't.
"What are you busy doing tonight?"
"What do you mean?" She had forgotten she had told him she was busy so she wouldn't have to have dinner with him tonight.
"I asked you to dinner you said you were busy." She looked into his eyes and knew she couldn't lie.
"I wasn't busy," she dropped her head in defeat. "I just didn't want to have dinner with you. I mean, no offense to you, but I don't need to be pulled into a pop star love affair."
"Affair? I told you I was single." He laid on his stomache to be level with her.
"Have you told your fans?" She saw the answer in his eyes. "Exactly, if I were to be seen with you it would be front page news tomorrow."
"You don't think it would be worth it?" He was confused, most girls would jump at the chance.
"Do you? Do you think it would be worth losing the trust of your fans?" She closed her eyes hoping it would make him disapear.
"I dunno. You think you're worth it?" He tried to lighten the mood.
"No." She turned on to her side to sleep.
"Hey, I am going to let you get some sleep. See you tomorrow at two?"
"Yeah, see you then." She waited for the door to click shut before she let herself cry. Why had he pushed her? Why did he want to know so much? Why couldn't he just leave her alone? She had had many guys approach her in the past year, but they all backed off when asked.
"Hey I left my keys.." He had come back for his keys, but now he was there for so much more. "Don't cry." He pulled her into his arms.
"I'm fine." She wiped her eyes, then walked into the bathroom to wash her face.
