| He didn't answer though, he was busily staring into space while thinking over the conversation that had just taken place. She sat down behind her desk and wondered what he was thinking. Is it the kiss? Does he regret it almost happening? Does he regret it not happening? She looked over to him, he still wasn't responding. Finally, he looked over to her and noticed she was looking at him. Did she say something? Oh no, I'm going to make a fool of myself. "Did you say something?" He asked shyly, hoping she hadn't. "Yeah, you ready to go?" She repeated, already standing to leave. "Yeah, sorry about that." "It's okay. You have a lot on your mind, I guess." "Yeah I do." "Anything I can help with?" "No, who were you talking to?" "A mother of one of the children." "Oh, we should get going if we are going to work out and be back in time to pick up Colton." "Yes, of course." She walked to the door, before she could open it he grabbed it and opened it for her. "Thank you." She whispered as she walked out of the door. "Lucy could you hand out the maps to my house to all the parents today? Thank you. See you tomorrow." With that she walked out of the building, turning around and waiting for Justin, who had stopped at the water fountian. She looked up at the sign, Ms. Tiffany's Terrors Daycare. She loved the name, she wanted all the parent's who brought thier children there to have a sense of humor. She was so happy, she couldn't believe a year ago she couldn't leave the house, and now she had a daycare. It was her lifeline, the reason she woke up everyday. "Proud?" He asked laughing at her, as she stared at the sign like it was the first time she had seen it. "Of course I am, I have over 100 beautiful children." She beamed, then led him to the car, where Justin unlocked her door and held it open while she crawled in. He shut the door when she was safely in. "What do you want to listen to?" He asked once he was in the car. "You have any Sublime?" She inquired hopefully. "Of course I do. I have the self titled, and forty ounces to freedom." "Ok the self titled please." He slid it into the player, before she switched it to number six. "I don't practice satneria, I ain't got no crystal ball. I had a million dollars but I spent it all. If I could find that Hannah and that Sancho that she's found...." Justin was amazed at how well she could mock his voice. She sounded just like him, just a little higher pitched. He was listening to her soothing voice when he was suddenly pulling into her driveway. "You like?" She asked, certain he did, he was almost drooling. "Yeah it's very nice. You have a lot of equipment here." "Yeah I barely use it all though. I just like them all." "Which do you use the most?" He wondered, looking around the large room, then finally letting his eyes rest on her. "Uuuummm I dunno I usually just do crunches and push ups. But beside that I'd say the treadmill. I run off frustration." "That's cool. I'm gunna lift weights, okay?" "That's fine. I'm going to do my crunches and push ups then use the treadmill. If you need help don't worry about asking." "Ok." She did her crunches and push ups, then looked over to Justin to make sure he was okay. She let her eyes wonder over his flexing muscles, then walked to the treadmill. She obtained a remote that was sitting on the top of it. She turned on the radio, causing Justin to flinch, he hadn't expected it. He hadn't noticed the speakers in the wall until then. Tiffany started the treadmill and began to run, before she knew it she had been running for an hour. She walked to a refrigerator in the room, grabbed two bottled waters and two of the towels she kept in the freezer. She joined Justin, handing him a bottled water, then slinging a towel around his neck as he straightened himself. "Aaaahhhh that's cold!!!" "I keep them in the freezer it feels good after you work out." "Yeah, feels good, but I didn't expect it." "Well I am going to take a shower. You are welcome to my brother's shower and clothes." "I'll take that offer up. Once I rest for a moment." "I think I will join you." She sat on the floor in front of where he was sitting. "So you have a good workout?" "Yeah I haven't worked out the whole time I've been on vacation." "Oh, what do you do?" He had messed up big, he didn't want to lie to her but he wasn't sure if he could tell her yet. "I work for Jive records." It wasn't a lie, it just wasn't the complete truth. "That's cool." "Yeah I love my job." "That's good. I think everbody should have a job they love." "Yeah, I agree." "You better." She joked, trying to pull more than two words from his mouth. "Do we have to do the pool thing agian?" "No no, unless you want to go swimming before we shower." As soon as the words left her mouth she regretted it, she couldn't get back in the pool again with him "No it's almost three we have to get Colton by five." "My daycare doesn't close until six." She stated confused, and slightly disturbed he had refused.. "I know, I just don't want to leave him there too long." "Oh ok well I am going to hop in the shower." She stood and left him alone, hurt that he hadn't wanted the kiss either. She stepped into her hot shower, letting the water soak her skin. He sat quietly waiting for her in the livingroom, letting his eyes roam the walls once more. When she appeared he was shocked to find they were both wearing navy blue wind pants and orange shirts, her's being more form fitting than his. "Great minds think alike." She commented, letting her eyes wander over him. "Yeah but how did you end up in the same outfit as me?" "Oohh that's what you think then, huh?" "Maybe." |
