Chapter Twenty Three
"Brianne, I have to tell you something." Joey urgently said, almost screaming into the reciever.
"Yes, Joey?" She pushed aside her work thinking it was urgent.
"You might be fired soon," he paused for effect. "You're making the other women look really bad!" All she heard was a dial tone after that. She should have never shown them the other night that the pick up lines made her blush, she was certain to get it all day. Luckily JC appeared in her doorway, leaning against the frame.
"What can I do for you babe?"
"Baby, I'm like a coupon," he lifted his shirt to show his stomach. "The more I take off the more you like me!"
"Josh Chasez, not you too." But it was too late, he was already chuckling his way to the studio. After a few moments of silence she thought she was safe, for the time being.
"Bri, can I talk to you?" Justin entered the room, throwing himself into a chair.
  "Sure what about?"
"I've had a horrible morning." He pulled his lips between his teeth, trying to hide the smile that was trying to form. "Well, it usually makes me feel better to see a pretty girl smile. So would you care to smile for me?"
"Justin, I can't believe.." A light pink took her cheeks and he quickly exited her office, ready to tell the other guys he had made her blush. "Please not all day." She looked to the heavens, pleading she wouldn't permenately red by the end of the day. Twenty minutes later her phone rang, causing her to nearly jump from her seat.
"Brianne." She said curtly, certain it would be one of the guys.
"Hey do you have a picture?" She was relieved to find it was Chris, and not one of the three stooges.
"I think somewhere." She started to pull at her purse, ready to find what he needed.
"Because I want to send it to Santa Clause to show him exactly what I want this year." Chris' chuckles, as well as four more familiar chuckles met her ear for a brief second, then the line went dead. All of them! What was she going to do? She hoped Lance had more sense than to join the game, for the sake of her poor burning cheeks.
"What did Joey start?" She laid her head on her desk, letting the red drain from her cheeks.
"Bri?" JC stood in the doorway, no doubt ready to see her turn pink.
  "Yes, Josh?"
"They call me coffee cause I grind so good." He swiveled his hips, while her eyes hungrily took in the scene, then disappeared. She had to do something to stop this, she quickly pulled the phone to her ear, dialing the extension to the guy's studio, ready to embarass whoever answered the phone.
"Hello?" She smiled, Justin, one of the initiators.
"Hey baby." She licked her lips, listening to his breath catch.
  "I'll get JC."
"No, I just wanted to tell you I'd like to take a walk down your happy trail." She threw the phone down, giddy, she had gotten at least one of them back. A few seconds later she heard thunderous laughter from down the hall and knew her message had been passed on. She quickly went to work, being out of the office for a week had put her behind. She didn't mind too much, at least she had been there for Justin. Thirty minutes before lunch, she still had no plans, the guys hadn't called since she had gotten Justin.
"What time do you get off?" Lance, maybe it was safe, she looked him over for any signs of laughter, then answered.
  "Five."
"Can I watch?" He quickly disappeared, and the laughter started once again.
"Men." She couldn't help it though, she quickly made her way to the studio to find her next victim.
"What's up?" Joey stood from the table they were working on a song at, and slid to stand in front of her.
"My pants and your hopes." She smiled at him then quickly walked around him to look at JC.
"Hey babe." He didn't like that look, he had seen that same mischevious smile on Chris' face too many times.
"Are you from Tennesee?" She motioined for Justin to shush when he tried to answer, then quickly continued, looking JC over for effect. "Because you're the only ten I see." She turned on her heel, exiting the room before her cheeks took back their almost natural red color.
"You're having lunch with me." Justin informed when she had sat down and noticed he had followed her.
  "Really?"
"Yeah, well all of us actually, I am official invitor." She was almost shocked there was no pick up line that came with it, and Justin could tell.
"Ok, you guys come get me when you are ready." She was amazed when he left the room, but she was weary when he turned around at the door.
  "Are you Greek?"
"No." She was definitely weary by this point, her hands met her face to cover the red sure to come.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I was sure all goddesses were Greek." He winked then left the room, satisfied he had gotten her back for the happy trail comment.

"Lunch time!" Joey called as they entered her office, and she jumped at the sudden noise.
"I didn't plan to have a heart attack today, but thanks for keeping me spontaneous, Joey." She gathered her things and met them at the door, each looking over her, ready to use the next line.
"You were in my dream last night." Joey informed, putting her arm in his. "If you don't own a black teddy yet, you should, you looked great." She pulled her arm from him and retired to JC's side, thankful they had stopped to wait for the elevator and she could burry her head in his chest. JC leaned down until his mouth was not even a centimeter away from her ear, then began to whisper.
"If I had a grain of sand for every time I thought of you, I'd be able to walk the beaches forever." He was disappointed when she quickly went to Justin's side, almost fearful what lunch would bring. Unfortunately Chris already had a devilish look on his face and was advancing on her.
"I lost my virginity, can I have yours?" He gained a look of satifaction as her face grew more red than any of the other guys had accomplished. The men began to load onto the elevator and she thought of turning back to her office, but entered the elevator instead, leaning into JC.
"Do you eat a lot of Lucky Charms?" Lance gained a successful look as he remembered the old line from one time or another.
"No." She looked up at him, a mixture of fear of the next statement, and pleasure of the next statement mixing.
"Because you look magically delicious." He finished, then received chuckles of appreciation from the other men.
"Joe, you'd look great if you lost  two pounds. I'm guessing that's how much your clothes weigh." She had done it, gotten the last word, for now. The doors were opening, and soon all the guys were rushing for the food.
"Wait." JC pulled her around a corner, pressing her against the wall with his body.
"Yes?" She was too tempted to pull him in for a kiss, but too afraid for fear a coworker would see them.
"If I followed you home would you keep me?" A childish grin took his face, and he started to move, but she held him there.
"Of course I would, you're just too sexy." She left him standing, facing a wall, trying to control himself.
