| Chapter Twenty Four |
| Over the past days the amount of pick up lines had decreased dramatically, and she hoped the guys had ran out. She only had a few more left, and was tempted to go online to find more, put pushed the thought aside. "Hey, sweetie, can I ask you something?" JC entered her office and threw himself into a chair. "Long day? And of course." She turned her attention half back to her work, finally catching up some from being off for a week. "What time do you get off?" "Five, and no you can't watch." She kept her eyes on the paper and JC chuckled. "No I was making a point, it's almost six and you're still here. I was hoping we could have dinner." "Oh, Lance got me with that one the other day." She rolled her neck and flipped over the paper to begin the back. "I know, who do you think he got it from?" JC winked at her when she looked up at him, astonished. "Josh Chasez, you're preverted side is starting to show." She shook her head at him, then dropped her eyes back to the paper, hoping to finish soon. "I just have one, if this doesn't work I don't know what will." Joey walked into the office, not caring what they were talking about. "What's that, Joey?" She let her eyes meet with his, JC looking between the both of them for reaction. "I'M RICH!!!" Joey yelled then ran out of the room, for a brief second, then came back. "Give me a call if you want this." He rolled his body then was gone. JC and Brianne both fell into a fit of laughter, not sure what to think of what they had just seen. "I will never get that image out of my head." JC complained, making his way to Brianne's side of the desk. "I hope I never do, too hilarious." She choked back laughter until JC's lips met her neck, in an instant her chuckles were replaced with quiet gasps. "Josh, you can't, not here, what if someone sees us?" She objected, but made no attempt to actually make him stop the pleasure. "We're the only one's left in the building pretty much, everyone else went home when they got off." He whined, then continued his torture as she tried to finish the paper on her desk. Finally a few minutes later she tossed it to the side, sighing slightly. "I can't, I just can't work while you do that." She put a hand to the side of his face, guiding his lips to her own. "Good to know." He winked, then pulled her from the office, pausing only to let her gather her things. "What do you want for dinner?" She entered the elevator, still regretting not finishing the paper she had been working on. She had promised herself she would finish that before she left and it was unfinished, discarded to the side of her desk. "I have a pretty good idea what I want, how about you?" JC cornered her, using his size advantage once again to pin her against the wall. "How about we order in? I couldn't see you doing this in public." She tried to keep her eyes from his lips, which were directly eye level with her, most likely because of perfect planning by JC. "My house or yours?" He straightened himself, sure the elevator would soon come to a stop. "Mine, if you don't mind." "Of course not, red." "Red?" She stepped out of the elevator JC right beside her. "That's what color your cheeks always are." He teased, ducking out of the door before she could respond. "Hey bubba, what can I do for you?" She fell into the couch, ready to sleep. "Is JC there?" "No, he already left." She muted the television because Justin's voice was coming so lightly. "Oh, well shit." "What's wrong?" She stood, ready to do whatever would make him feel better. "Nothing, don't worry about it." "Justin, I will come over there and hold you down until you tell me." She warned, very worried at that point. "No, don't come over here. We'll talk about it later." All she heard was a dial tone after that. Thinking it was odd, and wanting to go to his house, she resisted the urge and instead called JC. "Josh, something's wrong with Justin." She greeted, after he had said hello. "What's wrong?" "I have no idea, he called asking for you. Then he was acting strange and told me not to come over then hung up." She recounted, not sure what to think of what had happened. "He told you not to come over?" "Yeah, after I threatened to come hold him down if he didn't tell me what was wrong." "What else did he say?" "He told me we would talk about it later." She wasn't satisfied with that conversation at all, she wanted to know more. "Well, then he'll talk to you about it later. Don't worry about him, he's probably in one of his moods." JC wasn't sure what moods he was talking about, Justin didn't usually act like that, he just wanted the worry to disappear from her voice. "You're right, I'm just playing the sister thing a little too well." She giggled half hearted into the phone, trying to convince JC she was better. "Do you miss me?" He teased, changing the subject before she could worry anymore. "Of course. I told you if you followed me home I would keep you, and you up and left without even trying to stay." "I'm sorry." He chuckled into the phone, she was getting bolder and bolder every day. "I should get packed." She looked up the stairs, not even attempting to leave the couch to go up them. "For what?" "Oh, no, I'm sorry. I didn't tell you?" She started for the stairs, taking twice as long as she usually would. "No, where are you going?" "My parent's house, for the weekend." She felt horrible for not telling him, it must have slipped her mind with all of the pick up lines flying around. "Oh, I hope you have fun." "I will, I'm so sorry for not telling you, it must have slipped my mind." She was already pulling a suit case down, she would be leaving the next day after work. "It's fine, I'm going to call Justin, I'll see you tomorrow." He assured, wanting to know what was bothering Justin. "Ok babe, see you then." |
