| Joey ran towards them with a smile that could only mean he had seen a girl he deemed cute amongst the eighteen wheelers that had become their home away from home. The four men exchanged glances of fear and excitement of the news that was soon to be revealed. Joey slowed for the last few steps as he basked in the power he had acquired by being the first to find the cute new staffer. A smile took his lips as he waited for someone else to start the imminent conversation. "So, what have you been up to?" JC tried to pull a confession from Joey, who looked as if he may jump up and down at any second. "Not much." He lifted his eyebrows in exaggeration, to show that the information would not be revealed that easily. "Joe, give it up, where is she?" Justin tried to halt the ridiculous scenario taking place before him. "She is our new stylist, and quite appropriately she is in her trailer." He rocked on his feet as he waited for them to begin the short walk to her bus. "Well, let's go." Chris looked to the other guys for reassurance before beginning the short walk to the trailers. Idle chatter was exchanged as they all tried to picture their new stylist, a woman they would have close contact with for the next two months. "Is that her?" Lance exclaimed, letting his eyes wander over the young brunette unpacking in nothing more than a oversized Tshirt. "You think she knows we can see her?" JC quirked his head to the side, imagining it would let him view what was beneath the simple cloth covering her. "Of course she knows, it's a tinted window for goodness sakes." Justin scoffed before turning to leave. He hadn't taken more than two steps before Johnny's familiar voice rang in his ears. "Good, you are here, I wanted to introduce you to your new stylist." He glanced in the window and quickly retrieved his cell phone. "Jaden, I wanted to bring the guys by to meet you, as soon as possible, okay, bye." All the guys watched in disappointment as she quickly made her way to a back room and returned fully dressed. "Do we have to meet her now?" Justin was sure Joey would flirt incessantly with the woman he had just seen half naked, something he was sure she wouldn't mind, but something he was also sure he didn't want to witness. "Yes, and she is a friend of mine, so be on your best behavior." Johnny scolded the men before lightly knocking at the door to let their presence be known. "Hello." Jaden held the door open to allow them all entrance. "Hi." Johnny paused to hug her then continued to make room for the men following him. Once all the men were in and Jaden had closed the door he spoke again. "Jaden, this is Joey, JC, Lance, Chris, and Justin, guys this is Jaden, your new stylist." Her cheeks almost burned when she realized all the men where looking her from head to toe as if she were on show. She quickly offered her hand to the nearest man in an attempt to take her mind of the eyes picking her apart at the moment. She smiled at Justin as she thought of a way to make small talk. "So, what do you play?" Justin looked at her in disbelief as he tried to pick up any hint of a joke in her voice. When he was certain the question had been serious he shrugged his shoulders before answering. "I sing." His eyes danced with amusement as she moved on to ask Chris the same question. Chris chuckled at her expression after he delivered his answer, and explained to her that they all sang, and it would be pointless to ask the question three more times. She ran her eyes over their hair and smiled to herself as she realized the job would be more fun than any she had had before. "I know you have today off, but I would love it if you joined me in the VIP box to watch the boys in action tonight." Johnny urged once he had gained her attention. "Count me in." She hugged him again before the men left her to her unpacking. She continued the tedious task for the rest of the afternoon, and was almost completely done when Johnny came for her that night. "You ready for the night of your life?" Johnny offered his arm to her as he led her into one of the backdoors of the arena. "I guess." She marveled at the buzzing that filled the arena, a combination of the guys, staffers, and thousands of screaming fans. As she passed the guys room she heard her name and instinctively stopped to hear what was being said about her. After she knew the conversation was nothing more than one of her name, and it's originality, she continued with Johnny who eyed her. "Here you go, would you like a drink?" He summoned a waiter to obtain anything that was wished. "I'll have a Shirley Temple." She nodded her head to show nothing more was wanted and watched the young man disappear from site. "This is a teenage girls fantasy come true, there are cute men everywhere." She giggled before realizing her statement had fallen on deaf ears. The show was starting, and by looking at him one would think Johnny was seeing it for the first time. His eyes caught every detail, and his ears every word. She turned her attention to the stage, and decided Justin was the heartthrob, Chris was the crazy one, Joey was the flirt, Lance was the shy one, and JC was the serious one. She mentally pictured hairstyles that would bring out each personality on first glance. When that was no longer possible, she settled on just watching the show. JC's vote for serious was questioned as she watched the guys hump the stage, and JC went as far as to lick the stage. Luckily, Johnny didn't notice the shock on her face, because he was too busy taking in every mistake, to yell at the person responsible at a later time. Soon her Shirley Temple was empty, and as much fun as she would have had watching the ending of the concert, she knew it was time for her to return to her trailer, hopeful that her unpacking would be done before the guys needed their hair done the next day. She excused herself and tried her best to return the way Johnny had brought her. After making a wrong turn somewhere along the way, she was soon lost in the giant venue, and searching for anything that looked even vaguely familar. Nearly an hour later she finally recognized the room the guys had been in earlier and decided to stop to ask anyone inside how to get through the maze of hallways and back to her trailer. "Hello." JC greeted her, and she almost giggled as the vision of him licking the stage reentered her mind. "Hi, I was wondering how to get out of here, and back to my trailer." "Ok, if you wait just a minute I will walk you out there." He offered, before allowing her to enter the room and be seated on a couch. He proceeded to remove his shirt and search for clean one to wear until he could shower and sleep. "Thanks for the warning." She quickly darted her eyes downward and he chuckled at her innocence. "You better get used to it now, there's no telling what you'll see over the next few months." Her shocked eyes met his and he almost fell to the floor laughing. "What?" She tried to defend herself, but the inquiry came out shaken and unsure. "The look on your face." He composed himself and attained a shirt to pull over himself. "You ready?" She was very afraid that soon he may lose the pants in favor of another pair. "Yeah, come on." He held the door for her and slid her through by the small of her back. "I liked the show tonight." She attempted to make small talk. "What was your favorite part?" Only one part came to mind, so she blurted it out without thinking twice of the consequences. "When you licked the stage." She thought of how the words must have sounded to him and quickly changed the subject without giving him a chance to retort. "I thought this was the way." "Well, better safe than sorry, and I don't mind one bit hearing your commentary of the show." He flashed her an arrogant grin and held the door that led outside open for her. |
