"So how do you know Johnny?" He delayed his departure when they had reached her trailer.
"He is a friend of my fathers." She saw right through his plan, and decided to give into his charm. "Would you like to keep me company while I unpack?"
"I would love to." He quickly ushered her into the trailer, right at her heels, before she had a chance to change her mind.
"So, how long have ya'll been preforming together?" She went to work connecting the wires of the computer she had brought to occupy herself with when the guys were not in need of her.
"Almost a decade." He tried to catch her eyes from the couch he had thrown himself on, but to no avail, the desk she had perched herself behind blocked his view.
"Wow, ya'll must know each other better than anyone." She attached a few more wires to the tower and retreated to the bedroom with a wave to let JC know to follow.
"You have a queen size bed all to yourself?" He watched her pull a box to the closet and cut the tape to reveal a colorful mixture of clothes.
  "Yeah, don't you?"
"No, I feel like I have been deceived." His playful whine filled the room, and she wondered if he had a larger bed, and was poking fun at her.
"What size bed do you have?" She tried to retrieve a clear answer.
"Why? You wanna see it?" With one eyebrow raised above the other, he emphasized see, knowing she would get the hint.
"My word, and I pegged Joey as the flirt of the group." Fearful she would blush if she looked up, she kept her attention on the task before her.
"Common mistake." Amazingly, he kept his tone at an even level, and not once did he show any hint of being the slightest bit uncomfortable with the conversation taking place. Suddenly the bus' engine began to roar, and she knew he would be accompanying her for the night.
"Well, I can take the couch and you can have the bed." Although she had been looking forward to crawling into the comfortable bed all day, she felt obligated to make her unexpected guest feel at home.
"No, I am sure two adults can share a queen size bed without fighting." A sly smile spread across his lips, and she had to remind herself that he was technically her boss, and she should be as nice as possible.
"Ok, if you feel comfortable with that, I must warn you, I am not the most pleasant looking person in the morning." She had tried to think of a way to scare him into letting her take the couch, but couldn't think of anything except snoring, which he was sure to find out she didn't do.
"And you think I am? You are saddly mistaken, young lady." He stood to pull a heavy looking box to her side for her.
"Thank you." She whispered when he had finished the chore he had given himself.
"Your welcome." He eyed the box she was working on, since it was the last remaining one, he knew he would be able to crawl into bed soon.
"You need something to sleep in?" She eyed the leather pants he was in, and was sure he would not sleep in them.
"No my boxers and shirt will be fine, do you mind if I shower?" Her head nodded in approval, and he dissapeard into the bathroom. She waited until the water began to run, then disposed of the boxes she had emptied before slipping into a pair of boxers and a tank top to sleep in. After she had pulled the covers back, she tried to let the engine's roar lull her to sleep, before her visitor returned from his shower. To her dissapiontment he emerged from the bathroom seconds after her head had hit the pillow and joined her in the bed.
"Sweet dreams." She sighed when she was certain he was through arranging himself for the night ahead of him.
"Sweet dreams." His voice told her he was directly behind her and she turned to see how close he was. To her surprise, she was inches from his face after she had rotated herself.
"Hello." His teeth greeted her, in an amused fashion. "You mind?" He laid his arm across her and she nearly jumped from the bed. "I am a cuddler." He licked his lips.
"No." She turned onto her stomach to prevent any invasion of her body and pondered just how she had ended up sharing a bed with a stranger.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He found her writing a word document on her computer after he had woken at six in the morning to find she had removed herself from the bed. Her hair was up in a towel and he concluded she had already taken her morning shower. He quietly watched as her fingers quickly typed what he guessed to be a diary of some sort. He strained his eyes to search for his name, but had no luck.
"Good morning." He let his pressence be known, and she quickly saved the program, closed it, and withdrew the floppy disc to return it to it's case.
"Good morning, how'd you sleep?" She turned to face him, once the disc was safely in it's designated station.
"Great, your bed is a lot better than my twin size bunk." He alleviated her curiousity from the night before, and was rewarded with a smile.
"Good to hear, I am going to blow dry my hair, before I have to do ya'lls." She excused herself, leaving him to entertain himself. He obtained the remote control to the television and flipped through the channels until he found something that would keep his attention. Twenty minutes later she was washing his hair in preperation to trim it, with all the guys looking on. Once the water was done running, and she was lathering the shampoo in his hair, Chris took the oppurtunity, knowing JC would be able to hear him.
"So how was your night, Jace?" Chuckles from all four men echoed through the small tile floored styling salon that had been built in her trailer. She blushed in horror that JC would tell them that they had slept together, knowing it would sound worse than it had actually been.
"Great, Jaden made me feel right at home when we realized I would be stuck on her bus for the night." He smiled up at her relieved expression, and listened to the guys moan at the uneventfulness of his night. She sat him in the barber shop chair and went to work triming the ends of his hair.
"Anything besides a trim today?" She glanced at his reflection in the mirror to let him know she was listening. He shook his head to tell her no, causing her to lose hold of the hair she had planned on trimming next. She shook her head in disappointment, and quickly found the strands of hair she had had.
"So Jaden where you from?" Justin studied her carefully, tossing around the idea that she may not be as horrible as he had thought at first. She had had one of them in her room for the night, and not tried anything, as far as he knew.
"Texas." She concentrated on JC's hair, making sure not to ruin the talent's locks.
"Really? How do you know Johnny?"
"He is a friend of my fathers." She dismissed JC from the chair, and looked expectantly at the other guys for the next volunteer.
"Me." Joey stood and situated himself in the chair, not waiting for any objections. "You don't have to wash my hair, just wet it." She went to work with a spray bottle, and waited for someone to pick up the conversation again.
