"Justin, you know I'll forgive you." She pulled her arms up, underneath her pillow, trying to think of the words to say. "But we can't be like we were before, you know the kissing and stuff." Maybe he had already come to that conclusion, but she wanted him to know how she felt about the situation.
"I understand." He pulled a tube of medicated steriod cream from her bedside table to read the label, so his eyes would be too busy to meet hers.
"I don't think you do, do you know how much it hurts to have someone, that is very important to you, not come see you when you're in the hospital?"
"No, I've never had to go through that." He opened the tube and lifted her shirt to put the cream along the wound.
"I hope you never do Justin, but I didn't mean you."
"Who did you mean?" He rubbed the skin surrounding her wound in small soft circles.
"Nevermind Justin, it's not a big deal." She couldn't tell him about it, he wouldn't understand.
"Your Dad?" He moved his hands up to her shoulders, massaging them slowly, and getting a view of her face.
"No, I mean he didn't come, but he was busy." She pulled his hands from her shoulders, to be sure she had his complete attention. "Speaking of busy, I will be tomorrow, I am going to get some sleep." Leaving her with a kiss on the cheek, he left her room. But not her trailer, he took it upon himself to stay with her for the night, incase she needed anything.

At three in the morning he still hadn't gotten any sleep, so he made his way to her bedroom to apply another dose of cream to her wound.
"I'm not a baby JC, I can do it myself." Half asleep and only half sure what was going on, she continued. "Hand me the stuff." Justin handed it to her wordlessly, fearful the shock of her discovering it was him would cause her to jump, hurting her back more. "Sing to me?" The cream had been obtained but she didn't use it, she meerly held it in her hand, thankful she had won.
"Jaden, it's not JC." Justin pulled the cream from her hands carefully, ready to apply.
"Oh, sorry. I just figured it was him because.."
"He acts like he's your big brother?" Justin offered, opening the tube.
"Yeah, not that I mind, I just hate being like this."
"Don't worry, you'll be good as new in no time."
"Hope so." She yawned, waking up slightly.
"Why is Christmas your favorite holiday?" He began rubbing her back as he had before.
  "How'd you know it was?"
"You told me, you don't remember?"
"No, but I guess it's because you get presents for Christmas. What's your favorite holiday?"
"Christmas. You have any family traditions?" He tried to figure out how she would have finished her answer that day, had she had the time.
  "Not really, you?"
"No, Jaden, what does your Dad do for a living?" He rubbed up to her shoulders, then paused to put the cream back on the bedside table.
"He's in advertising, an artist, does the logo's and stuff." She rolled her neck as best she could laying on her stomach.
"Oh, what about your Mom?" He gave up massaging her, and slid onto the ground, sitting next to her to look into her eyes.
"She doesn't work," she put her hand over her eyes. "She'd dead."
"I'm sorry." He tried to pull her hand from her eyes, but she didn't budge.
"Don't be, I never knew her. She died giving birth to me."
"Jaden, look at me." Not being able to see her was driving him crazy.
"Give me a second, I want to tell you all of it. That's why my Dad didn't come to see me. I know it's not his fault, but he always kind of blamed me for it. Even though he didn't really want to, I just resemble my Mom, and it was hard for him." She slowly uncovered her eyes, making sure he was still there.
"Why didn't you tell us before?" He pulled at a strand of her hair, then twisted it around his finger.
"When, during costume changes, between fights, while I was doing your hair?"
"Your right, how about I let you get to sleep?"
"Yeah, thanks, you can sleep here if you want." She slowly closed her eyes, then listened to him walk around the bed, and crawl into the other side.
  "Nite."
  "Sweet dreams."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey, wake up honey, the movers will be here soon."
"I'm up." She slid awkardly from the bed, trying to stand without bending her back.
"I'm going to run back to my trailer to shower and change, I'll be back in a minute." Dipping down to kiss her cheek, he jogged from the room, trying to get back as quickly as possible. Ten minutes later she had gotten her clothes on, and stepped into her shoes, but she was having trouble getting them tied. Luckily JC chose that moment to come and check on her.
"Could you tie my shoes?" She pleaded, holding her foot out for him. He bent down, tied her shoes, then regained his composure.
"How're you feeling?" He knew, Justin had to have told him. And she had thought he was a damn cat, instead he turned out to be a rat. Not that she minded too much, it was easier for him to tell them than her doing it herself.
"Good, you heard about my Mom, huh?"
"How do you know these things?" He ran a hand through his hair, nervous she would be upset.
"I have a sixth sense on these things." She sat herself down on the couch, making JC wince, knowing her pain.
"You and Justin patch things up again?" He joined her, pulling her hand into his.
"Yeah, once again we are on good terms."
"That's good, I came by to say bye incase I don't get to see you before you leave." He hugged her as Justin entered the trailer. Maybe their new stylist would teach them to knock, she doubted it though.
"Hey Jay, I was just leaving, you take care of her, okay?" He walked past his friend, patting his shoulder as he exited the trailer.
  "How're you feeling?"
"Good, you like my outfit?" She stood to show him the outfit he had insisted she get at the mall.
"Yeah, the white bandage adds to the effect. See guys will just think they are going to get a peek at your stomach." He teased, trying to lift her spirits.
"That was the whole idea." There was a knock at the door and Justin answered to find the movers, ready to work.
