| He hushed her when she tried to answer. He pulled her close and cried onto her shoulder. She gave in and let him hold her. All of a sudden the bus came to a stop. They ignored the stop and figured it was for gas. Soon JC was outside thier bunk. "You gunna come into the hotel?" "Where are we?" Justin asked. "Seattle." "I thought we weren't going to be there until Saturday." Tiffany was confused. "We have today off. Tomorrow we have a concert here." JC said in a sleepy voice. "We are coming, you go on up." Justin called. He crawled out of the bunk seconds later. He rubbed his eyes while he waited for Tiffany. "You wanna go shopping today?" He asked her bright eyed. "Yeah, I need more clothes." She joked. They walked into Tiffany's hotel room minutes later. Justin wasn't supposed to be allowed in there alone. Mike closed his eyes as they walked through the door. Tiffany waited for him to reopen them and winked. "You didn't see anything, huh?" "Nope, I didn't see Curly walk in there without a chaperone." He chuckled. She shut the door and turned to find Justin sprawled out on her bed. She stood right above him. She stared at him, she knew eventually he would open his eyes. Seconds later he opened his eyes slowly. He looked up at her for a minute. "What?" "I thought we were going shopping. Aren't you going to get ready?" "I thought I would let you use the shower first." "Why don't you go to your room and use the shower while I use this one?" "Because all the guys will be fighting for the shower right now." "Ok, you better be awake when I get back." She grabbed an outfit out of a nearby suitcase and walked into the bathroom. She let the water run for a few seconds before hopping in. He seemed so sincere this morning. Should I just act like nothing happened? No, you know you shouldn't. You should have kept that flight booked. You should have went home. You should have- Lost your only love? Cried for months? Never felt the same? "I don't know who you are anymore." He said rubbing her shoulders to comfort her. "I-" He shushed her and continued. "I can't do this, you are not the same. You used to be full of life. It's been six months and you still can't drive down the street without crying." "You-" He shushed her again. "I can't love someone who doesn't love life. I tried to help you. You are just to stubborn to move on." Now she was mad. She looked at him with anger building in her. She started walking towards him and he stepped back. She continued to walk as she yelled. "And I can't love a self centered jerk. You call me and tell me how long it takes you to get over your parents death. Hopefully you won't have to deal with it soon. Hopefully you will have time to grow up first." By that time they had reached his car. He opened the door but didn't get into the car. He gave her a look like he felt sorry for her. Like she wasn't thinking rationally. She could have slapped him. "Yeah maybe your parents should have waited until you were grown up to die." The words sliced through her heart. "No they didn't have a choice, huh? Daddy's little princess needed icecream." He spatt at her. Her eyes turned red with anger. "Daddy's little princess needs a real man. One that can think of more than himself." "You aren't Daddy's little princess, he is probably turning in his grave right now. You are an evil bitch." "If you don't leave now I will go get my brother." She knew this would make him leave. He had always been afraid of him. More lately than before. Her brother had taken her farther's roll, but he had a temper. "Call me when you grow up." He said as he sat down. "Don't count on that happening." "The growing up or the call?" And then he was gone. Looking back on it now she was happy he had been such a jerk. It was the wake up call she needed. It was the reason she had moved away and started a new life. She got out of the shower and dressed quickly. She ran a brush through her hair and walked back into the bedroom. Justin was watching TV. He looked up at her and saw the tears in her eyes. In two steps he was by her side. The show of concern made her cry harder. He pulled her to the bed and sat down with her in his lap. "Don't cry, Angel. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you so much." He thought she was crying because of him. But his words didn't help his case. Every word he said sliced through her. She sat up quickly and stared him right in the eyes. "So much? So it was meant to hurt me but not this much?" She knew it wasn't true but her emotions were getting the best of her. He could have held her silently and she would have found something to say. The memories were emotionally draining her. "That's not what I meant. I meant- that- well I don't know what I meant." This wasn't very wise of him. To not have an answer. "I know what you meant. You meant that you didn't mean for me to find out. Then I wouldn't hurt this much." "No, Angel, that's-" "Don't call me that." She stood up and felt light headed. She had to get him out of there so she could take a nap. She didn't know how much longer she could stand. But she didn't want to sit on the bed. "Please leave." "Not until we talk about this. I don't want to walk around on eggshells around you. I want to be like we were-" He was going to say before. But he had seen the way she had reacted to that last night. "I know, I know, before? Well I'm sorry I'm not going to let you get away with these remarks." He gave her a confused look, he didn't know what she was talking about. She didn't even know what she was talking about anymore. She knew she was mad though, and that she was getting more light headed with each passing second. He had to leave so she could rest. "Leave!" She demanded. "I am not letting you run from this coversation, we have to talk about this." He pleaded. "Ok, talk. And make it quick." She blinked a few times trying to make her vision less blurry. It didn't help so she wiped her eyes. Still it didn't help. "I want you to talk. I want you to tell me what's wrong so I can fix it." "I don't think-" She fell to the ground. Justin rushed to her side. She was breathing and had a pulse. He thought that was a good sign. He called for the other guys. They rushed in and took one look at the situation. Lance started to call an ambulance. Joey stopped him while Chris ran to get a bodygaurd. Mike walked in and picked up Tiffany, he carried her to limo and placed her carefully inside. All the guys climbed in after he was done. JC and Lance had to half carry Justin in. He was looking striaght ahead. No emotion showing on his face. All the guys shared puzzled looks. They didn't want to scare Justin by asking what had happened. Mike carried Tiffany into the emergency room. Lance and JC dragged Justin in after him and Joey and Chris told the limo driver to park and wait. They walked into the waiting room as JC and Lance were getting Justin to sit down. They all sat around him and glanced at eachother. Joey suddenly got some nerve and turned to Justin. "What happened? Did you do something?" |
