Mathematics
            Constructivist Teaching Model
Students learn best when they are allowed to figure a problem out for themselves, make discoveries and work with thier peers.  This teaching method can be combined with direct instruction, a computational component and practice building problem solving skills.
             Relevance
Presented with a sense of purpose and connection to the real world, students can make great gains in mathematics.
Students are encouraged to use manipulatives to build a conceptual understanding of mathematics.
Students are engaged in acting out mathematics.  Here students are acting out a book that introduces division in very concrete and relevant ways.
