For Thou In Haste, Be In Thy Lord

We Seek Thee First Lord
when times acome of trouble.
We Seek Thee First Lord
through the days and nights of wonder.
We Seek Thy Grace and Thy Comfort.

And I see that:
Mine life is blest by Thy Grace;
Mine life is blest by Thine Perfection;
Mine life is blest by Thine Atonement;
Mine life is blest to be a child of God.

But, sometimes I forget Thee, Oh Lord.
Sometimes caught in mine labour
Or caught in deeds of foolishness.
For when I forget, easily I stumble.
But when I keep Thee in heart and mind,
I can do much for Thy glory.

But, sometimes Oh Lord, distant to Thee I feel.
So, how can I show my face to Thee.
'Tis difficult and lonely.
Oh Lord without Thee, I feel powerless.
Oh Lord without Thee, I feel sad.
Oh Lord without Thee, I feel empty.
But, why then do I feel distant?

Then, I call to you, Oh Lord.
I know you hear me.
Yet, I feel like a disgraced servant.
But, you encourage and continue to guide me.
Oh Lord, My God, why do I do such foolishness?
To not turn to you always in my daily life.
You give me wisdom and strength,
Yet I feel as though that is sufficient enough to lead my own.
Sometimes you ask me to do something,
And I say,
No, I don't have the time.
No, I have this other responsibility.
No, its too dangerous.
But, you wait.
And wait ...

Then, I call to you, Oh Lord.
Humbly I bow, hoping to see a glimpse of Your Glory.
This time, I come to you
before any other.
You guide me and ease me.
You use me as an instrument.
I see again how my life is blest.
How people's lives are blest.
For daily events,
I try to come to you.
For Work,
I try to come to you.
And I say to myself,
When in haste, remember the Lord.
