| Bobby asked James to go with them and meet the scientist who made them and James agreed to go. When they got there Bobby introduced the scientist (an old man) to James and the scientist told him how the three Bobbys were made and told him that when he was James' age he had a very close friend that died of leukemia. Somehow this scientist had strands of his friend's hair and through those strands he decided to invent a machine to remake his only friend by analyzing his hair. He had been working on this machine his whole life and one day he finished and that's when the three Bobby's were born, but something went wrong with the machine and it duplicated three copies of his childhood best friend. The scientist also told James that when he was his age he also did not have any friends, he was lonely until one special friend came along but later on died. That's why it was very important to him to get his friend back even if it took him forever. The scientist also told him that after what one of them did which is rob the store, he had no choice but to undo the three of them or else it would be trouble with the cops or people around him. James understood. James and Bobby had said their sad goodbyes and James cried his eyes out and Bobby told him, "Don't cry James, I'll always be your best friend, all you have to do is remember me and never forget me. "I'll never forget you Bobby. You will always be my best friend", James told him. The other two copies of Bobby were deleted first and now it was his turn. The two had said goodbye one more time and Bobby repeated to James, "Don't forget me James", and he waved goodbye and went inside the machine and was deleted. Later on that night, James found pictures of him and Bobby together and he hung those pictures on his wall and thought of Bobby as his special friend and that he would always remember him. It was now the weekend and James visited the grave of the boy who was the real copy of Bobby. His name was Robert Carter and James left flowers on his grave. |
