Barry A Beach was convicted of killing Kim Nees, based on a confession he gave to three Louisiana Detectives after a grueling 7-8 hour interrogation.

There were so many inconsistencies in his confession that his attorney, the then highly famed Timer Moses, told Barry Beach and his family not to worry, there was no way there would be a conviction...it is now 2007 and Barry A Beach is still serving a life without the possibility of Parole sentence at Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana.

In February the Montana Board of Pardons and Parole agreed to have a hearing, based on the fact that long time friend, Darlene Peterson had solicited a team of Montana Legislators to look at the information about Barry Beach's case. Within a month binders of information from FBI files, crime scene diagrams to preceding court documents had made their way to the Governor of Montana's desk. Brain Schweitzer was asked to look at the information and to demand that some action be taken; thus the BOPP was to hear the case.For the first time since his incarceration, finally the public would hear the truth.

On June 13,14 and 15, 2007 at Montana State Prison the hearing proceded. In the audience were Senators, Legislators, family, friends, supporters of Barry Beach, and those apposed. No one was ready for the next person to enter the room and take her place quietly in the back row, Pam Nees, (Johnson) Kim Nees's little sister.

One after another Centurion Ministries called forth their witnesses, many had been intimidated by the States
Attorney Generals Office attorneys; Tammy Plubell and Mike Wellenstein. Yet they came and they told their stories, risking health, relationships, family divisons and reciprocations when all was said and done.

The truth came out for the first time in 28 years, Barry Beach was not at the scene of the crime, everyone who testified had been told first hand by those who were involved in the killing of Kim Nees, or their family members that ; it was a group of girls and one or two males who were there had killed Kim. One of those even told her sister-in-law that " I only kicked her in the head a few times, I didn't kill her tho."; Another female who has made numerous statements to a variety of people stated : "I got away with the perfect crime, a capitol crime.";
Yet, Barry Beach remains locked up in Montana State Prison... due to the politics behind this case.
