Greetings James fans.
The last couple of months have been such a busy and exciting time for us with the release of new material, our lads getting their first #1 album, and all the promotional performances. The phenomenal number of hits we've been receiving since the new year has just proven how important James still are in their fans' lives. We're pleased to report that we picked up our 5,000th hit in March, after only an 8 month existence, and we think that's pretty damned good. The wave of promotion and support since January has been incredible and we're more than pleased at having been able to do our part for James by printing the Jim Glennie interview, setting ourselves up as cannon fodder for Radio 1, and, most recently, receiving an absolutely gushing review of our site in Manchester's own City Life publication. Unfortunately though, we do have to let the folks down at City Life in on a little secret - there's nobody named Carlton officially on staff here (although that is the name of the guy who's putting together James Night for us so you know who's hand to shake on April 10).
Right now we're getting worked up about the April tour, set to kickoff in a week, and we can't wait to meet all of you at the James' Night after the April 10 gig. Make sure you come up to the DJ booth and introduce yourselves cause we'd like to get to know as many of you as possible.
We're hoping that this spate of publicity and all the performances have left all of you as inspired as it has left us, and so as always, we're looking for submissions and we won't let you use shyness as an excuse any more. Let us know how you feel about hearing the new material (or about NOT hearing the new material if you're living in the States), what getting to see James live again means to you, and what your tour experiences are. And if anybody gets any good fan pictures, please send them along.
We're counting the hours til the music soars back into Manchester and blows the roof off the Apollo.
