The year is 3XXX, the Earth is dying and reploids run rampant on its surface. While deep underground, remains what is left of the human race and a city called Utopian Beta. X had been considered a legend to both man and reploids alike. X was a unique reploid who was created by a master scientist. In the early 20XX, he was one of the first robots to think, feel, and make their own decisions (human qualities). As time progressed, more and more robots began to have similar traits, but there was always something with X that made him stand out from the crowd. His legend comprised of several struggles that earned him the title, "Master of Weapons." He had the ability to reconstruct his circuits to adjust to or mimic other robot or machine capabilities. Through the years, X was thought to be the ultimate war machine for justice and through his experience, he has become one of the most feared justice reploid out there. Within Utopian Beta, X secludes his secrets, armory, as well as his mystery, in a lab thought to be his birth place. No one else knows about it except for him.
In this story, although X was blessed with human attributes and characteristics, he had changes his physical appearance and wanted to be more human. Removing his titanium armor plated skin and arm cannon, he replaced it with a synthetic, human like (yet 4x more durable) skin. Although his appearance and arsens decreased, that doesn't make him defenseless. With his arm cannon removed, he could still generate and unleash plasma through his finger-tips. X then prowled the dangerous streets, where reploids were know to strike back at humans, with a different "under cover look." Again, trying to serve justice and trying to unite both reploids and humans, X had begun a new reputation.
But, what would happen if his best friend and partner were to come back and go against him?
X was not the only legend out there. His most trusted, best friend and partner, Zero, had come back. However, before X and Zero met each other in this year, Zero was exposed to another life of maverick reploids. After so many years of resting, Zero was, again, revived or awaken. Only this time, by mavericks (reploids, that the humans called, "went crazy.") As Zero, stayed with them, he tried to gain back his memory and at the same time he learned another thing about mavericks and their choosen life. He had learned that the mavericks did not have circuitry problems, but he felt that the mavericks, like how X did, tried to make their own decisions and ideals come true. This time, the MAvericks wanted to create a new life for those like them--to start all over. But the humans sought that their actions went beyond what they expected and thus, feared that they would loose control over these "mad" reploids--thus the name Maverick was labeled to them. And because of this fear, the humans created the Maverick Hunters in 2XXX (with X and Zero as their top hunters). But does this reason make X the bad guy?! X still believes that humans and reploids could live together in harmony and by eliminating those who interfere with it goes beyond all propriety. Both with good causes, both with lethal skills, and worst yet, both of best friends fighting for justice. But the story does'nt end there...there is an even greater power working beyond this...
So for X, what started as an experimental robot to a protector of justice, just started another life... |
