The World of
Chinese New Year 2001
in Penang,Malaysia - Part 1 (14th January 2001)

As part of the Chinese New Year celebration, several organisations and associations got together and organised a meaningful event for the Penangites and tourists to participate in a unique cultural festival. Here are the snap shots which I have taken of

"Chingay" is the acrobatic balancing of huge, triangular multi-coloured falgs hitched on to 10 metre-long poles. The performers demonstrating their skills in balancing the flag pole with their foreheads, shoulders, lower jaws and also different parts of their bodies.
