The band was formed in 2001 by a couple of oldtimer rock and rollers that used to have a power trio back in the longhaired hippie days. Since then they tried to grow up and become normal citizens, but they just couldn’t let go. So, they decided to start a blues band. After numerous combinations and permutations, the current lineup is below. Recently the band has played the main stage at the Great American Barbecue Contest and the Beer Garden stage at the American Royal Barbecue Contest. Additionally, we competed in the Battle of the Bands put on by KY 99.7 after being selected from 250 submitted CD's. We won top 3 honors and were chosen to play at the KY 99.7 Birthday Bash featuring Sammy Hagar.

Scotty (Junior) McCormick - Lead Vocals Yes, he thinks this is his band. He happens to be a great performer and loves the down and dirty rock/blues tradition. His gravelly voice and stage presence pulls the audience right to the front row. This is good for him since he never plays an instrument. We call him the slacker. Scotty, unlike the rest of the long in tooth members, has ambitions to take this line of work full time. With his talent, he could pull it off ---just play something!! |

Mark Gearon - Lead Guitar, Vocals, Harmonica One of the two remaining original members of the group, Mark has always taken lead guitar to a different level (and length). He is a master player and for anyone who loves Stevie Ray Vaughan, Dickie Betts, Warren Haynes and some of the others, Mark can hang tough. Mark is the driving force to this band and loves all his electronic toys. Ask him sometime how many guitars he has!! |

Ed Curd - Rhythm Guitar Ed is the heart of the band. His rhythm keeps things cookin’. The other original member, he doesn’t let Mark take away any of his thunder. Although Ed sometimes get a bit zealous in his tempo, the rest of the band is more than willing to run with him and cruise to the big finish to each and every tune. Without Ed to rally around, we would just be another, everyday blues band. |
| Rob Leonard - Bass Robert Leonard started music in grade school, playing trumpet in school band. Switching to guitar in junior high, he took to the blues right away. In high school, he toured the Midwest with rock band Sweet Red, and as a founding member of Lawrence Kansas favorite, Tofu Teddy, he found himself opening for Steppenwolf, Commander Cody, and others. Robert only came to bass in late 2002, studying briefly with Kansas City bassist James Albright. A brief stint with The Dave Hayes Blues Band in 2006 introduced him to the Kansas City Blues scene. He keeps busy with studio work, original music projects, and Junior’s Flat Six. |

Damon Parker - Keyboards This young kid can make thunder come from an organ!! He’s best of friends with the other young punk in the group because the rest of the guys are old enough to be their fathers. He was brought in a couple years after the band started and adds an awesome depth to the music. The hardest part is getting him to look up and quit his solo so we can end the song. |

Greg Fowler - Drums He has been playing drums since he was 12. He played in a few garage bands through the ‘60’s and had dreams of being the next Paul McCartney, but on drums. He played a few gigs like his 8th grade graduation party with Welch but never made the big time. He gave it all up for about 30 years until he got hooked up with this crazy group and got the fever again to “bang” on stuff. He always had the itch to be in a blues band and perform live. This fills that need and now we can’t get him off the stage. |
