| Raster Images Files and those wandering paths | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hello Jim, I stumbled upon your site today, but i have no clue if it is still current or not. I have a question for you though, if you have time. I am new to autocad and am doing some general parcel mapping. I am aligning boundarys of polygons i make with a large jpg image. it takes a good amount of time to scale and rotate the jpg just to the exact size and be acccurate. The problem is, when i save the drawing, its fine. The next time i open the file, there is a box where the image should be with the file path located inside the box. HOW DO I GET THE IMAGE TO GET DRAWN AGAIN!! I've tried Autocad Map and 2002, and i cant get it to draw, ive tried regen and going under image properties and checking to see if the draw image box is checked. I'm out of ideas and looking for help. Thx Tarren |
Tarren, I haven't been keep up the site very much, I've just been too busy with life in general. To answer your question, AutoCAD is loosing the image's path. Make it easy on it AutoCAD to find the jpg's by putting the jpg's in the same directory as the drawing. You can also put the directory that jpg's are in into AutoCAD's search path. Use the options command then click the files tab and set the Support file search path to include you jpg directory. Good luck Jim |
