Featured Dilemma:

Plotting problems with AutoCAD 2000

Jim,

I have encountered a problem using true tye fonts in
Acad 2000. I am using fonts on a Cover Sheet and plotting to an
HP1050C plotter. The fonts come out very ragged with broken curves.
However, when I plot the same drawing in Acad14 and the same plotter, the
fonts are perfect. Is that a text parameter in Acad2000 that I am
missing?  I have tried reloading windows and acad drivers on the 2000
station. nothing changed. I tried changed fonts, but the problem continues.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Jack,

A2K was notorious for this with the 1st release. You
need to make sure you have the latest service pack.
The updates are at
http://www3.autodesk.com/adsk/support/download/
If that doesn't solve
you problem you might want to get the latest driver
from HP -
www.hp.com.
If all else fails go to
http://discussion.autodesk.com/WebX
and you'll see you're not alone.

good luck
Jim

Jack Replied:

Thanks
I downloaded the lastest service pack and it seems to have solved the problem.
