Why drink and drive it's not fair
It only hurts the ones that care
When you take a life that way
Think what you've done and pray
For the loved ones who sit and cry
While saying why oh why
To lose someone young or old
In that way leaves you cold
So think before you drink and drive
So someone else can stay alive

I can't go on the way things are
My soul will be a shinning star
As I sit here my soul awaits
So take my hand towards those gates
The pain I feel will no longer be
Once through those gates my soul is free
The tears I shed they will run dry
As I take my place with you on high

Lord help us keep our land free
From all oppression and tyranny
Help our governments run our land
With a free and caring hand
After all it is our say
To have our country run that way
We have to stop all the maiming and killing
For this the people must be willing
To let the government run it fare
So everyone can be aware
That all the countries can unite
To never ever ever fight

Why do countries always fight
To try to prove they have the right
It's the people who get the fright
And flee their country day and night
It's the killing that hits the young and old
But these countries wont be told
These people want to be left alone
To live their lives out in their home
So let the people have their say
And give them back their homes today
So give it back and let them be
So they can live and die free
