Diet and nutrition. A topic that can be debated for centuries. Everyone seems to have the answer to what you should and shouldn't eat and how often. I could write pages on all the possibilities to diet. I am no expert nor am I a doctor, but I find it interesting. Due to that interest I make it a habit to keep learning about food and how things affect me personally.
Where to start. Well, the first piece of advice I am going to give is definitely make sure that you eat. Yes there are master yogis out there that can go for the longest time without food. They can also survive without sleep. That's fantastic, but personally I think sleep and food are two very nice things in life. There is a rule of thumb that I follow: Know yourself, let your body tell you what it needs and be happy. If you are happy having a glass of wine or a beer, smoking a cigarette, a pipe or a cigar, and you eat properly, exercise and enjoy life, then do it.
You are the best judge of what you are. We can spend our entire lives 'searching ' for ourselves, and still not fully understand who and what we are. Take a look at the food that you eat, know your ingredients and what they are doing for your body. If you haven't the time to sit down with a nutritionist there are some simple rules that are pretty good guidelines to follow:
Below are a few links to different food sites that I thought you, the reader might find of interest should you like to take on the search for the perfect meal. I have also included a few of my favorite recipes on a separate page...enjoy!
