Episode 6         Milerum and the Grail

 

 

How come, asked Ned of Milerum , you knew about the Grail?
and how could you last all those years
yet other nations fail?

It was the Grail or songlines on which my country thrived
and then two hundred years ago
the Five Percent arrived

We saw our brothers driven from their little piece of pie
by Five Percents who had no qualms
or ethics to live by

Our knowledge had been innate, unsullied by Five's greed
and life was ever joyous
for sharing was our creed

By hills and lakes and rivers, our country was divided
we lived within these boundaries
that nature had provided

Because our land was bountiful, we never would encroach
if visiting another tribe
we'd herald our approach

But as in all communities whether hunting or agrarian
some doctors who were known as witch
became authoritarian

That's the way it's always been if man hands over power
to those who'll end up using it
by forcing you to cower

 My country's ancient people, deprived of all they had
of land, of sea, of family
their culture viewed as 'bad'

Today of course, it's all O.K. as tourists are the go
The Fives now use our culture
for `puting on a show'

Many think we're weaklings who have no war-like skill
because we do not take up arms
to massacre and kill

Those sixty thousand years my friends have taught us many things
Your needs are beans and cabbages
not warriors and kings

Plenty of adventure will keep your spirits up
a sense of independence
will overflow your cup

But most of all, there are two things, with no exaggeration
It's man's respect for Every Man
and man's co-operation

Why 'man', I said to Milerum , have you forgotten female?
We know that there is Yin and Yang
Why should it always BE male?

Fish are fish and birds are birds, sheep are sheep and so
because Man is inclusive
we do not need the WO

Are you insinuating, I challenged Milerum,
that women are a problem
incapable and dumb?

I'll have you know this attitude to women, I believe
has been the cause of discontent
since Adam pimped on Eve!

I maybe just a housewife but gee, I do get wild
with men who just regard us
as mother to their child

BUT then there's some resentment by men who live with debt
and have to work with sweat and toil
for women to be kept

I can understand their anger and to a large extent
men die off and leave to wives
their money to be spent

With wigs and wads of money the widows wallow well
they often live to ninety nine
their husbands housed in hell

Said Milerum , I see dear Lou, you have some comprehension
of mankind's age-old problem
that has caused the greatest tension

The Fives have always been around, their aim is domination
you'll find them in the background
pitting nation against nation

And first on their agenda for controlling man and beast
was to play on the emotions
Men were first and women least

But mainly it was money that served their purpose well
through conning all and sundry
that they had to 'buy and sell'

The Fives claimed Man needs leaders to designate a task
The question was 'Why do we?'
but mankind didn't ask

The self-promoting Fivers got richer by the day
misusing mankind's birthright
that was meant to show the way

Humanity was central to the Planet's ageless Plan
establishing the Network
was the pivot role of Man

This network would consist of every person born on Earth
and each would choose a place, a role
for living right from birth

Dividing off in units of five to eight not more
Autonomous, creative
right from the very core

with equal time devoted and working as a team
You'll conquer every problem
achieve whate'er you deem

Oh Milerum , if this is true,  why is it we weren't told
Because dear Lou, the Fivers knew
it’s power is untold

Power to these people Lou is all that they desire
and like an aphrodisiac
it sets the brain on fire

And once the power's realised , it calls for more and more
till nothing can placate the greed
not even blood and gore

The danger is a leader impressive by his deed
but given power o'er others
falls victim to its creed

For power like religion can be for good or ill
it's only when it's harnessed
that it's good for Jack and Jill

So get your team together, neighbour, friend or relly*
Put your minds together
and give up on that telly

Don't worry if you disagree on what you would promote
Just fall back on that age old rule
decide it with a vote

And very soon your minds will soar in fertile realms unknown
Reality from visions come
with every seed that's sown

Excitement and Contentment are rewards that you will reap
and without any burdening
your brother you will keep

Imagine if you all received the freedom that you crave
 and everyone is cared for
from the cradle to the grave
