1985: First year at school

1988: First UNISA (University of South Africa) piano exam
1989: Lead role in Topsy Turvy Castle (Nancy)
1992: First year in High School
         First time
overseas alone
1995: Volunteer work in Haiti
1994: Open Water One Scuba diver qualification
1996: Accompanist to school                 choir at national final choir competition
Pass
Piano grade 8 exams of the Associated Board of  the Royal Schools of music
Finish off with High School
1997: First year at the University of Pretoria
1998: 1st year diploma in His People Bible School's one year ministerial course
1999: Obtain degree B.Sc. (genetics) and bum around the USA for a month to celebrate
2000: Obtain degree B.Sc. Hons (genetics)
Begin
singing lessons and have my debut concert
1991: Last ballet exam (senior grade)

2001: Begin with Masters degree research at the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI)
Skipped the graduation ceremony, but went out with a friend to celebrate with a bottle of red wine.

2002: On my way to finishing my Masters Degree in Botany/ molecular plant physiology.
Finally did a course in Basic
Web Development.
My brother got
married in May. Photos to come (sometime).
Spent 2 months at
Rothamsted Research (UK), visiting the lab of Prof. Christine Foyer
Visited London on numerous accounts, and spent a weekend in
Paris.
From September 2202- February 2003:  taught English in China
2003: Finished teaching English in China. Learned a lot of Chinese, and saw a lot of the country.
Began
studying Chinese through UNISA.
Finished Masters degree in plant molecular physiology (cum laude).
Traveled through the
US and Canada for a month.
BACK TO INDEX
2004: Mostly pottered about in the lab producing various mutated cystatins, BUT also managed to get a Commonwealth Scholarship (http://www.csfp-online.org). Doing PhD research at Rothamstead Research till October 2005.
Flung myself from the
highest bridge-bungi in the world (216m) and have the video to prove it.
Completed my
Advanced Scuba Diving qualification (PADI).
Completed second year of
Chinese study.
