My name is Julie Ryan and I live in Adams, Massachusetts. I have been in the Child Care field since 1985. Let me tell you alittle bit about myself and why I decided to care for children in my home.
I previously was employed by a non-profit Child Care Organization. I worked in their Family Day Care program with the FDC staff, child care providers, parents and children. Being partially responsible for provider reimbursements, nutrition monitoring & billing, child enrollment and placement, client fees and billing, state contract reimbursement and billing, collections, in home activities, training's, provider support, and many other office duties, gave me the opportunity to
see what Home Day Care was all about.
In 1989 I decided that I wanted to be able to spend time with my daughter, Sarah, who was then 4 years old, before she started school. It was at this time that I decided to purchase my own home and open my own Home Day Care Business. With my knowledge in the child care field, finances, my love for children and people in general, I was most confident that I would have a successful program.
All these years later...I have been able to watch, on a daily basis, my daughter grow into a
beautiful young lady, she is now away at college persueing a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been fortunate to be a major part of her growth and development as-well-as that of so many other children over the years. Nothing is more heart warming than watching a child grow. The love you give to a child is returned a hundred times over. I truely enjoy this profession, it is most rewarding and continues each day to be even more so.
