Bar Tips & Info
from: Side B's - Loverfriend

Normally, you pay an entrance fee at the gate of the gaybar. Once you enter, a  floor manager would greet you and introduce himself. He will bring  you to a vacant table of your choice. After being settled, he would  ask you if you want to table anyone among the dancers. Of course, he  would make suggestions. In some bars, one order of drinks mean two  drinks. Drinks for dancers come hourly (~P420) and they only get  (P60) for every drink they get.

During normal days, you won't find anything creative or artistic with  the dancing. They get motivated to really perform during big nights.  (Big nights mean more people though) At midnight, some dancers would  perform a full monty. There are places where they dim/put the lights  out and the dancers would request you that they be allowed to sit at  your lap (they call it "area") and would let you feel their goods for  a token amount (at least P100). There are private rooms (VIP rooms)  though. You and a dancer of your choice can go inside one of these  rooms and, how to say, "boogie to the tune you like". But this would  cost you. Haven't been in one though so am no help in this department.

If you're ready to leave, you give the dancer, the waiter and the  floor manager their appropriate tips. If you want to bring one of the  dancers out, you need to pay a bar fine (~P3K) which is exclusive of  what you give to the dancer. I think they don't get anything from  this barfine. What we normally do if really want this guy, we  casually ask him if he's interested to go out later after the bar  closes (~ 3AM). We'll leave the bar early and just pick him up at a  rendezvous point. If you let him sleep in your house/pad afterwards,  make sure that you don't wake the guy up until 3PM (else he'll be an  irritating companion)

In most cases, guys in the closet attempting to go to a gaybar needs  an entourage to serve as shield against prying eyes. I brought a  curious friend to a gaybar and we had to sit ourselves at a corner  table. I felt like his nanny, getting up and accompanying him when he  needed to pee, answering to his every knee-jerk reaction whenever  someone enters the bar. I didn't actually enjoy the whole night.  Normally, I don't care what the guy looks like at the other table  EXCEPT if he's a looker, has a companion who's a looker or if he has  tabled your favorite dancer.
