"The Spanish flag has suffered various changes over its history.  Under Franco's dictatorship the flag lost colour mauve appering on the Republican flag, and incorporated two important symbols, the eagle and the shield of the catholic monarchy."
"Flamenco is an individualistic, yet structured folk art from Andalusia, which is often improvised and spontaneous. The song, dance and guitar are blended together by the passionate rhythms of Southern Spain wich is flamenco's geographical birthe place.
Gypsies say it's in the blood, but Spain's famous poet and writer Fredrico Garcia Lorca, called flamenco one of the greatest inventions of Spanish people. some dare to disagree. Yet the tragic lyrics and tones of flamenco clearly reflect the sufferings of the gypsy people."

" Bullfighting or tauromachy is a tradition that involves, most of then time, professional performers who execute various formal moves with the goal appearing graceful and confident, while masterful over the bull itself; these  maneuvers are performed of close range, concluding with the death of the bull by a well-placed sword thrust as the finale; where as in Portugal the finale consists of a unique traditoin called the pega where men are dressed in a traditional costume of damask or velvet, with long knit hats.

The practice generates heated controversy in many areas of the world, including Spain where the "classic" bullfighiting was born."
