| Joshua just stared at Justin and Joey too shocked to talk or even move. Justin and Joey exchanged a glance and sat down on either side of Joshua and put their arms around him, "Joshua," Joey began, "Remember I told you that I don't care who you love as long as you're happy?" Joshua could only nod, "Well it's the same now all we want to know is, do you really love Lance?" "Please Joshie your our brother, we only want to look out for you, after Keanu," Justin shook his head, "Well we just want to make sure you pick the right person for you." Joshua stared at them for a few moments, his brothers squirming at his intense gaze, before he finally spoke, "I have known Lance for a year and have got to know him really well," Joshua swallowed, "When...when Keanu dumped me y'all were great but Lance really helped me to pick up the peices and slowly move on, unfortunately." Joshua stopped, unsure of whether he should tell them. "Joshie." Justin quietly said, he didn't want secrets between them it would ruin their bond. Joey hugged him tight, "Go on." Joshua stared at the floor and took a deep breath, "Unfortunately I moved on to him." Joey looked uncertain, "Y'all are dating?" Joshua rapidly shook his head, "No. No. No. We are best friends, I tried to pull away from him thinking it was just a rebound but Lance got hurt because he thought I didn't like him anymore." Joshua paused collecting his thoughts, "I told him I really liked him and I was just working through some stuff and I was sorry I was pushing him away. He understood and from that day we have got closer and closer but...but my crush slowly turned into love." Joshua closed his eyes and said quietly, "Guys I'm in love with daddy's girlfriend's son!" "Does...does he love you back?" Justin asked. Joshua looked up at Justin and shrugged, "I don't know." Joey bit his lip thinking he had an idea he wasn't sure whether it was good but anything would do right now, "Joshie I have, well, I have an idea." Joshua looked at Joey expectantly, "What is it?" "I don't know whether you'll like it but it's the only thing at the minute," Joshua nodded for Joey to go on, "How about you date someone else to see if what you feel for Lance isn't just rebound love; then you'll know for sure." Joshua mulled it over for a minute, could he do it? Date someone else to see if what he feels for Lance is true? There's only one way to find out, "Ok I'll do it." Joey looked into Joshua's eyes, "Really?" Joshua smiled, "Yeah there's this boy at school I really like and he has shown an interest in me so if I go on a few dates and see if anything is there, I'll know," Joshua smirked, "And you know if Lance's gets jealous I'll know he likes me too so..." Justin and Joey laughed glad that Joshua is happy again. "What are you boys doing out here? You've been out here for ages." Shady asked appearing by their side. "Just talking daddy." Justin said smiling brightly at Shady. "Y'all ready to go home?" "Yeah we're ready." Joey answered for all of them. They got up and headed to the car and drove home all the while Joshua was thinking [[Should I call him tonight or wait 'til school?]] By the time they got home Joshua still didn't know if he should call him or not. "We're gonna watch tv upstairs before we go to bed if that's all right daddy?" Justin asked, he could see that Joshua was having a tough time so he thought it would help if they talked about it. "Sure baby. Goodnight boys I love you." Shady said as he gave his boys a hug before they ran up stairs shouting 'I love you daddy' before going into Justin's room. Justin and Joey pulled Joshua into Justin's room and pushed him down on the bed, "You okay?" Joey asked concerned. Joshua sighed, "Yeah, it's just I don't know whether to call him or not." "Lance?" Justin asked. Joshua laughed, "No, no, no. The guy I'm supposed to date." "Oh, 'kay. Tell us about him?" Justin asked watching his big brother closely, he would never want his brother pushed into dating someone who he didn't want just to get over someone else. Joshua smiled, "He's 17 and he's in most of my classes. He's got blonde spiky hair and is really cute and sweet, he's always late like me," Joshua giggled, "He's got beautiful eyes and the sweetest smile you'll ever see. He loves 'Star Wars' and music just like me and he's shy and loud just like me." Joshua smiled at his brothers, "And I really like him." Justin and Joey shared a look grinning, "I think you've found him. You already sound like you're in love with him." Joshed blushed slightly, "I really like him but I'm not in love with him though..." Joshua paused, "I think he's someone I could fall in love with." "Then call him don't wait any longer." Joey encouraged, he wants to see his brother happy and after Keanu he needs some loving. "Can we watch something before I do, I need to think." "Ok. When do we get to meet him?" Justin asked, he really wants to find out about this guy to make sure he won't break Joshua's heart. Joshua giggled, "I'll bring him home after we've had a few dates and you can grill him then, alright Justy?" Justin laughed, "Just making sure you're with the right person." Joshua grinned and clapped his hands together, "Ok. What we watching?" Joey grinned, "Well I thought we could use some humor so we are watching 'Friends'." "Good choice." Justin said as he settled on the bed and smiled when Joshua and Joey snuggled up on either side of him. Joshua was half watching and half thinking through it and by the end he decided he would call him. He looked over at Justin and Joey and smiled when he saw they were asleep, he got up and put the blanket over them and kissed them on the forehead, "Night guys, I love you." "I love you too Joshie-poo." Justin mumbled sleepily. "I love you too Joshie." Joey mumbled still half-asleep. Joshua laughed quietly, "I thought you guys were asleep." "We are." Joey groaned. "Are you gonna call him?" Justin asked. Joshua laughed again, "Yeah, I'll tell you about it in the morning, night guys." "Night." Joey and Justin said and as soon as the lights went out they were fast asleep. Joshua chuckled as he went to his room and got ready for bed, he got in to bed, picked up the phone, started dialling and then hung up. "Come on Joshua you can do this." Joshua scolded himself and tried again. As soon as he put the number in he hung up, Joshua closed his eyes, "Come on. Third times the charm." He dialled the number and let it ring and didn't hang up this time even though he wanted too when someone picked up. "Hello?" Joshua smiled and it was reflected in his voice, "Hey Angel." |
