| Memories - Chapter 10 |
| Josh had never kissed a man before. Hed never actually kissed a woman after Christi either. He had forgotten how good it felt. Josh leaned closer to Lance, wanting to be as close as possible. Lance couldnt believe that he was actually kissing Josh. This isnt happening, he thought, not able to believe it. But it was. Lance hadnt kissed many men before. Hed kissed a few women before he found out that he was gay, and the few times after that that hed kissed men had been experiments. This was real. Or at least it felt real. Josh ran his tongue across Lances closed lips, asking for permission to enter. Lance was about to open his lips and accept Joshs tongue, when he heard someone clear their throat. They werent alone in the room. They jerked away from each other. Joshs eyes searched the room and he sighed when he saw Joey standing in the doorway to the kitchen. I was just going to check up on you two, Joey started, but I see that youre doing fine on your own. He was grinning. Lances heart was beating so fast. Hed never been caught fooling around with someone, and decided it wasnt something he enjoyed. Josh smiled back at Joey and said, yes, we are, thank you very much, Joey. Why dont you go down with Leah and Justin and distract them for a few more minutes? We still have some dishes to clean. Riiight dishes, Joey joked, knowing that Josh and Lance werent going to do dishes when he left. You two have fun. And with a wink, he was gone. Sorry about that, Lance, Josh apologized. Its ok. Although he did scare the shit out of me, Lance said laughing. Yeah, me too, Josh replied, before leaning closer to kiss Lances swollen lips quickly. We better finish the dishes so Leah and Justin dont suspect anything. Theyre going to want dessert soon. Then maybe we could go for a walk or watch a movie? Josh suggested. Sure, that sounds good, Lance agreed, grabbing a dishtowel and drying the dishes that Josh handed him. He couldnt help but think that they made a good team. **** When Joey went back into the basement, he was met with Leahs eager and curious face. So? Leah asked. So they were kissing! Joey exclaimed, and it probably wouldve gotten hot and heavy had I not interrupted. Leah laughed and clapped her hands. This is so great, Im going to be teasing him about this forever. Wait, your dad and Lance were kissing? Justin asked, confused, did I miss something? Yeah, you must have. You see, Joey began, Josh is bi and Lance is gay and they are both attracted to each other. So Leah was trying to get them together. And it seems like it worked, Joey explained. Woah. Youre dads bi, Leah? How come I didnt know that? Justin asked. Well, I think only Joey and I know. He asked me not to tell anyone. But while I was at the hospital, I told Lance and he seemed interested. Thats why I invited him for dinner. We just tricked dad into agreeing by calling it a Thank You dinner. Im so glad it worked. Dad had been so lonely for such a long time, Leah said, sighing. I hope this works out between them. Cool, was all Justin said. He didnt have any problem with Josh being bi. It wasnt like he was going to change or anything. Yeah, Joey agreed, so lets go up now and see if we can make them squirm. Leah and Justin laughed before agreeing, both wanting to have some fun. **** Josh and Lance were done the dishes by the time Leah, Justin, and Joey came upstairs. They were getting out plates and forks for the pie that Leah had made for dessert. When Leah entered the kitchen, she smiled as her father and Lance before saying, so, whats up? Oh nothing. We just finished doing the dishes, Josh told her. Are you sure thats not the only thing you were doing? she asked, winking at Lance. What are you talking about? Josh asked, pretending to have no idea what she was referring to. Josh looked over to Joey with a warning look that said if you told her, you are in big trouble. Joey just smiled back at him. Joeys smile was innocent, but Josh could tell that hed spilled some information to Leah. He just wasnt sure how much. A little birdie, Leah started, looking over at Joey before continuing, told me that you and Lance were not doing the dishes. Joey Im going to- Josh started, but was interrupted. Its ok, Josh. Leah seems to be ok with everything, right? Lance interrupted Josh. Yeah, everythings cool. I just wanted to play with you guys a little. So how was it? Leah asked. Leah! You did not just ask me that. Thats none of your business! Josh exclaimed, wondering where his daughters manners were. At the same time, Lance said, it was great. And then he blushed when Josh looked over at him. I knew it! Leah exclaimed, didnt I tell you guys youd be good for each other? In her excitement, she walked over to Justin and planted a big kiss on his lips. He was surprised to say the least. What was that for? he asked her, a little embarrassed that shed just kissed him in front of an audience. Oh, nothing, Leah answered, winking at him. He blushed and then studied the floor. So anyway, how about dessert? Leah suggested, grabbing the pie and bringing it into the dinning room. Woah, that was weird, what is up with her? Joey asked, confused by her actions. I think shes gotten more bold over the past week or something. Shes usually the shy one in school, Josh explained to Lance, ask Justin. Justin just nodded. Weird, Lance said, wondering why Leah had acted so strange. And he hoped that hed be around this house often enough to find out. |
