Chapter 2
Lance woke up a little while later, startled by the movement next to him.  Justin had rolled away from Lance and was thrashing around, whimpering.  Lance pulled Justin into his arms and shook him softly, wanting to end the nightmare Justin was having.  Justins eyes shot open, and his body relaxed when he saw Lance next to him.

Lance could hear Justin sigh sadly, and he wondered what he should do.  He didnt want to push Justin, but he did want to know what had happened.  Lance? Justins voice broke through the silence, and Lance forced himself to look into Justins sad eyes.

Yes, Justin?

Please tell me it was just a dream, Justin begged, and Lance heart broke all over again.

Im sorry, Justin, was all Lance could say, and he hugged Justin to his body, wishing he could do something to take away the pain.  Do you want to talk about it?

Yeah, but what about the other guys? Justin asked, a scared look on his face.  Dont we have something to do today?

It can all be canceled.  Here, let me call Johnny, Lance offered, starting to pull away from Justin.

Justins eyes filled with tears.  Dont leave me, Lance, he begged.

Its ok, Justin, I just need to use the phone.  Its right there, Lance said soothingly, pointing to the phone that sat on the dresser, a few feet away.

Ok, Justin sniffled, hugging himself as Lance got up and went to the phone.

As Lance talked softly to Johnny, telling him what had happened, Justin let his mind wander.  He hadnt seen his grandma for months.  He tried to remember the last time hed seen her, the last thing hed said to her.  Then he remembered.  Hed been visiting his family, and shed offered to bring him to the airport when he had to leave.  Shed driven him there and stayed with him until he had to get on the plane.  Shed been crying, and shed asked him to come back soon because she missed him.  Hed just smiled, hugged her, and said goodbye.

He hadnt even told her how much she meant to him, how much he loved her.  He cursed himself for not letting her know how he felt.  She had been on of his best friends.  He didnt know many people that were as close to their grandparents as he was.  He loved spending time with them, loved just talking to them.  His grandma was on of the smartest people he knew, and hed always tried to soak up her knowledge.  But he couldnt do that any longer.

Justin tried to understand why this had happened, but nothing made sense.  Why would God take such a wonderful person from this world, from him?  What did I do to deserve this? Justin asked himself, Why does she have to be gone?  I miss her already.

Justin was brought out of his thoughts as Lance wrapped his arms around him.  Justin leaned his head on Lances shoulder and cried.  He cried for the loss of one of his best friend.  He cried for his grandma, and the fact that hed never see her again.  He cried, wishing that somehow, she could be brought back to him.  He cried because he missed her, and hadnt told her enough that he loved her.

He cried for the wonderful friend that Lance was being, holding him, and dealing with the sadness that Justin knew filled the room.  Justin pulled away slowly, trying to smile up at Lance.  Thank you, he whispered, his voice filled with emotion.

No need to thank me, Lance replied.

Yes, there is, Justin insisted.  You dont have to do this.  I know it must be depressing to be here with me.

Justin, when you hurt, I hurt too.  But your one of my best friends, I love you, and I wouldnt just leave you here to hurt by yourself, Lance said, brushing away some tears that had run down Justins cheeks as he talked.

God, Lance, what did I do to deserve you? Justin whispered.

Lance just smiled, not knowing what to say.  Do you want to, you know, talk about it? Lance asked carefully.

I think so, Justin said, sniffling.  Could you get me some tissues, maybe?

Of course, Lance responded, getting up and grabbing a box of tissues from the dresser.  He handed them to Justin, and Justin blew his nose and wiped his face.  Maybe you should take a shower, you might feel better, Lance suggested.

Ok, Justin replied, his voice small and sad.  Lance helped him up and led him to the bathroom, starting the shower for him.  He was about to leave when Justin asked, will you stay in here with me?

Are you sure- Lance started.

I just dont want to be alone, Justin explained, rubbing his eyes.

Ok, Lance agreed, turning around while Justin dressed, and trying not to think about Justin being naked so close to him.

Ok, Justin said as he got into the shower, letting Lance know he could turn around.

Lance sat down on the toilet, not knowing if he should say anything, or just let Justin be.  He willed away the thoughts of Justin, naked in the shower, water running down his beautiful body, but it didnt work to well.  He cursed himself as his body responded to his dirty thoughts, and he tried to will away the erection that formed.

Justins voice startled him out of his thoughts.  Can you hand me a towel Lance?

Sure, Lance replied, reaching for a towel and handing it to Justin.  Should I leave now?

No, its ok, Justin responded, pulling back the shower curtain.  Lance went to look away, but realized that Justin had a towel wrapped around his waist.  Justin blushed a little as he stepped out of the shower.  I need to go get my clothes, he offered, leaving the bathroom.

Lance followed him back into the bedroom and sat on the bed.  Do you want me to call the guys over? he asked.

Do they know? Justin questioned, not wanting to have to tell them.

Only what I do, Lance answered, wishing he knew more.

I guess I should tell you all what happened at the same time, right? Justin asked.  Then I wont have to tell it more than once.

Yeah, Lance agreed, secretly wishing that Justin only wanted to tell him for now.  So I should have them come over?

Yeah, why dont you call them while I get dressed? Justin asked, and Lance tried to keep his eyes off Justins ass as he walked back into the bathroom, clothes in hand.

Focus, Lance, he chided himself.  Call the guys and get your mind out of the gutter.
