My Experience
Top
Sunday September the first, my plane touched down in Pearson Toronto airport. "I cannot believe it! I am in Canada!" I had waited for this moment for a long time, and now that was it!
My first impressions
My objective
My trips in North America
My first impressions? I was really impressed by the size of the cars in the airport parking: I had never seen so many pickups! Later, I was on the railway and far away I saw the sea. The sea? But Toronto is not near the coast! Actually it was the Ontario Lake. Yes, Toronto is in the Great Lake region.

The taxi drove me to Hamilton. I am now an exchange student at McMaster university (
http://www.mcmaster.ca) in Hamilon, Ontario. I wished to study abroad to discover another culture, another way of thinking and other customs and also to improve my English, to meet Canadian students and people from all over the world.

As I was abroad, I wanted to travel and visit North America (indeed only a part !). I have been in big cities, such as Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton and New York City. I practised Canadian sports: canoe and hike in fall and cross-country ski and snowshoe in winter. I also discovered football (american football and not soccer, as we play in Europe), hockey, baseball and lacrosse.
Moreover I had the opportunity to see Canada during the two main seasons. In the latter half of october, during Indian Summer, I  went in Algonquin Park (http://www.algonquinpark.on.ca), a National Natural Park, where I appreciated the wonderful fall colors. During my Christmas break, I enjoyed the pleasures of the snow in the ski resort of Mont-Tremlant, Quebec (http://www.tremblant.ca).
