Diabolo

Diabolo. What is it? Basically a yo-yo that can come off of it's string. It was said to be developed in China hundreds of years ago. They say it was used to hunt, but I've heard the same thing about yo-yos. Maybe it was just made to have fun with instead of being a weapon. From what I remember, a Chinese translation of diabolo means "to throw across" which makes sense since that's what you do with the diabolo. But in Spanish, diabolo means devil. That's sort of why there is fire in the title (and because I found a photoshop tutorial telling how to make words on fire and finally found a place to try it out). If the diabolo was developed in China, the Spanish meaning of diabolo probably does not apply.

But now it's time for the truth. Why am I writing a long history for the diabolo when I have hardly any history for any of the other props on this site? Mostly because I'm not that good at using a diabolo. I don't really enjoy using a diabolo either. I can do very basic tricks, but that's about it. Maybe I'll learn more in the future, and if I do I'll update the site. Right now, you will only be able to learn the very basics from this website.
