I can't say enough about Trace Edward Zaber's first novel. Not only
has he written a historically accurate novel but it's exciting as well. The
characters get into your heart and you find yourself cheering them on.

Trace makes you smell and feel the battle that opens the first scene in the
book. Very realistic as well as entertaining from page one to the last page.
He did allow one character to die that upset me. I had hoped to see him in
triumph at the end of the novel.
He also put another spin of the thoughts, actions and deeds of John Wilkes Booth
and it could very well have happened just as he said it did.
If you like historical novels with romance and excitement, don't miss this one.
You will not be disappointed.
