For the months of June and July I have read two of John Sandford's books in the Prey series. I don't like violent stuff but for some reason I couldn't not read these books
recommended by my husband. I found myself wanting Lucas Davenport, the main character in the Prey books, to find the bad guy (Bekker) and do bad things to him...lol Bekker is really sick and I chased him all over the place in these two books along with Lucas of course :-) Lucas the Dirty Harry of Prey just can't get his own life together as far as a relationship goes and I found myself wanting to help him. Maybe one of these days he will find a good person to settle down with. I guess I will have to read all of them and fine out if he does :-)
These are not new books so it shouldn't be hard to find them at the library.

This book was one of Oprah's book club books and now one of my
favorites. It's by Anna Quindlen who writes about the abuse of a wife suffered
at the hands of her husband. After almost dying at his hands she finally ran
away with their son to Florida. He eventually tracked them down, stole the son
and she hasn't seen him since, although she believes he has called at least once
thru the years but didn't speak. Anyone who has every suffered this kind of
abuse will cringe each time she cringes, and feel what she feels. Even if you
haven't the story will make you feel what a battered wife feels.
Would you recommend this book?
