1. Augustine (Augustin, Augustus)1 WEBB was born on 29 Aug 1755 Hanover County, Virginia.1,2 He married Elizabeth (--?--) circa 1775 in Virginia.3 He married Frances "Franky" CLARKE on 24 Sep 1807 in Shelby County, Kentucky.4,1 He died on 25 Feb 1835 in Bullitt County, Kentucky, at age 79.1,2 He served twice during the Revolutionary War. He first served seven or eight months in 1775 or 1776 from Albemarle County, Virginia, as a First Sergeant under Captain Lewis in Colonel Andrew Lewis' Regiment. They marched to Gwinns Island and then marched against the Cherokee Indians.1 He moved to Botetourt County, Virginia, and in Oct 1781 he again volunteered as an ensign in the regiment of Colonel David Campbell. They marched to Carolina and from there to Salisbury and then to Cow Pens, where they joined General Daniel Morgan's army in the Battle of Cow Pens. He was discharged on 15 Apr 1782.1 In 1782 he moved to the Fayette County, Virginia (now Kentucky). (In 1780, Kentucky County, Virginia, was divided into Fayette, Jefferson, and Lincoln Counties. Fayette comprised approximately one-third to one-fourth of the future State of Kentucky.).1 On 11 Aug 1784, he claimed 29.936 acres on "Cumberland Mt" in Fayette County, Virginia (now Kentucky).5 In 1790, Augustine (Augustin, Augustus) WEBB was listed in the in Fayette County, Virginia (now Kentucky), tax list. (He was listed as Augustine WEBB).6 In 1792, Kentucky was admitted to the union as a state. That same year, Shelby County, Kentucky, was formed from Jefferson County. On 10 Apr 1794, Augustine WEBB "of the County of Orange, State of Virginia" so 1000 acres on Mill Creek, a branch of the Kentucky River, in Shelby County, Kentucky, to John HANDLY for five shillings. (The small sum may indicate HANDLY was related, or that Augustine owed him money.).7 Listed in the 1800 Tax List of Shelby County, Kentucky, were Augustine WEBB, Jeremiah WEBB, Jeremiah WEBB Sr, John WEBB, Marradeth WEBB, and Samuel WEBB.8 On 7 Jan 1807, Augustine WEBB, "of County of Bullitt, Commonwealth of Kentucky" sold seven acres on South Long Run to James GIBBS Jr, Gally GIBBS, and Mary Ann BIGGS of Shelby County." The land was located next to Jeremiah WEBB.9 In Apr 1817, he was named Augustus WEBB in the will of his son, William.10 He apparently moved from Shelby County to Bullitt County in 1820 since he is listed in the census in both counties. He was listed on the in 1820 census Shelby County, Kentucky, (page 142). Jonathan Thomas2 WEBB (Augustine (Augustin, Augustus)1) was born in 1785 Fayette County, Virginia (now Kentucky).2 Conflicting evidence indicates he was born circa 1789.15 Conflicting evidence indicates he was born circa 1794 in Kentucky. (He would have been 15 when married if born in 1794.).5 He married Amy Elizabeth PARIS (PARRISH), daughter of Robert Alexander PARIS and Anne (Polly Ann) HOWE, on 1 Feb 1809 in Shelby County, Kentucky. (Dodd reads: Jonathan WEBB and Anna PARIS. VRI reads: Jonattian WEBB and Ama PARRIS.).16,17 Conflicting evidence indicates he and Amy Elizabeth PARIS (PARRISH) were married on 12 Jan 1809 in Shelby County, Kentucky. . In Apr 1817, he was named as co-executor of the estate of his brother, William WEBB. The will was recorded in Jul 1817, in Shelby County, Kentucky.13 In 1817, he inherited from his brother, William, the "Lott of Ground Situate in Shelbyville which was Conveyed to me by Michael COLLIER and wife by deed bearing date 17th May 1815." He also received "a negro boy named Bob," a "horse saddle and bridles," William's "wearing apparel," and "four hundred dollars in Cash to be received by a settlement of the partnership Concer. W. (or Mr.?) WADDY & Co." In addition, each of his children were to receive an equal share of one fourth of the any surplus after settlement of his estate.13 Amy Elizabeth PARIS (PARRISH) was born in 1790 Virginia.21,18,22 Conflicting evidence indicates she was born in 1790 in Green County, North Carolina.18,23 According to the 1850 census, she was born circa 1790 in Virginia.24 She married John KEENE on 3 May 1842 in Shelby County, Kentucky.18 Her is listed as head of household on the 8 Oct 1850 census District 2, Shelby County, Kentucky, as Amy KEINR?. STEELE, daughter of John STEELE and Sarah GILLILAND.5 He died in 1870.23 In 1817, he inherited from uncle, William WEBB, the "mulatto girl about 5 years of age named Adaline."13 Pauline D. STEELE was born on 22 Sep 1815.23 She died on 18 Apr 1897 at age 81.23

COOPER and Obedience WILDRICH, on 8 Mar 1857 in Memphis, Scotland County, Missouri.18,22,23 He died on 10 Sep 1914 in Memphis, Scotland County, Missouri, at age 87.18,22,32,23 He is buried in Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, Scotland County, Missouri. (tombstone reads: J. H. WEBB, born May 14, 1827, died Sep 19, 1914/Mary J. WEBB, born Sep 23, 1836, died Aug 23, 1902).32 His father died when he was two and in 1842 his mother remarried and apparantly he did not like his step father. According to the Memphis Democrat, Joseph ran away from his Kentucky home at the age of eight (actually he was fifteen when his mother remarried). He went to New Orleans, where he became acquainted with a cook on a sailing vessel. He went to sea and remained there five years without the knowledge or consent of mother or stepfather. After the death of his stepfather, he went home where he worked on his mother's farm.22 His was enumerated on the 8 Oct 1850 census District 2, Shelby County, Kentucky, as Joseph WEBB. He was listed as age 23, laborer, born in Kentucky.24 In 1854, Joseph moved to Scotland County, Missouri, his mother following in 1855.22 In 1859 they moved to Audrain County and later to Randolph County.22 His is listed as head of household on the 1860 census Audrain County, Missouri, as J. H. WEBB. The census listed him as age 33, born in Kentucky. Enumerated with him were M. J. WEBB, A. R. WEBB, and J. T.
