Back in April, on that tragic day, I myself was a high school senior. I actually stayed home one day just to watch the coverage of this incident. I remember how I cried just to see all those wonderful people in such emotional pain. Well I'm a college s udent now and I attend a christian college. I just heard of another school shooting and it reminded me of Columbine High. I want all those students who witnessed that tragic day to stand up and say thank you Lord. I'm doing all in my power to stop the iolence and turn those to believe in Christ. I'm glad to see that the school come together and helped each member of that community through it. I want to wish everyone the best of luck in the future and keep believing your friends did. Some may be gone now, but their still with you. All I have to say is that the people of Columbine brought this tragedy on themselves. All of you sit around and ask, "How could they do such an awful thing?" Dylan and Eric were asking the same thing when being teased and poked fun. You have no idea what t is like to be made fun of. I was very shocked and upset by the Columbine shootings. Rachel Scott's death affected me the most, although I'm not sure why. I even wrote a poem in her memory, but it's quite long. Too long to put on this site, I feel. Writing the poem helped me to eal with her death, even though I never knew her. Her death taught me so much about life in general. If I ever meet Rachel, all I would be able to say is thank you.

I jus' want to say that this yr i'll be a junior at Heritage Highschool in Conyers,GA(Rockdale County) where our school shooting happened a month after Columbine.........I see that was truly tradgic what happened there and that my prays are wit' you all.. ..on May 20th a month after your shooting we experienced something we thought could not happen to our school but it ended up happening....my friends and i were havin' a normal day at school takin' pics with everyone and lauhging then we heard what sounded like fire crackers and we all hit tha ground that was our fisrt insticnt! my friends and i had been standing at least 10-15 ft away from TJ Solomon when he started shooting and i jus' remember my friend's look on her face and how she grabbed a hold of my rm and pulled me under the bench wit' her.....i jus' remember it all soo clear it was horrfying.....but truly not as tradgic as u guys went through........I WISH U ALL THE BEST OF LUCK AND LOTS OF LOVE FROM HERITAGE

My daughter is a cadette girl scout, she just got premission from the principal of her school to do an anti-violence slogans on the bulliten boards in her school. It made me cry to see all those pictures of kids crying and being comforted by their parents...I thought that at least this may have been another not-so-subtle message about parents needing to reconnect with their kids. This is to everyone: What happened in Columbine (as you know)is the most horrible shooting ever! When I first heard of the shootings, one question poped into my mind, why? How can people be filled of so much hate? why? What did these people do to desirve this? I would like to share my storie with you that has to deal with shootings. At school, not to long ago, my friend was threatened by another class mate who said he was going to bring a gun to school and shoot her. I was scared to death! She said that she was not sure if she was going to tell on him because she did not want to get nyone in trouble or make a big deal out of nothing. So I did. I wrote a note to the officer and my friend C. slipped it under his door. The boy had a bookbag search, and he got suspended. I was pleased at the fact that they took action, but the next day a school, he was there. I freaked out! Why was here there? He threatened to kill someone(s)...he has no right to be back...but then I found out that he was back in school so soon because all they found was ciggs. in his bookbag. I went up to the office wit one of my friends C. and we talked about the whole thing. They said that they could not do anything because they did not have enough proof! thats the rules. They had no reason to take action because they found nothing on him. The man that we talked to wa very nice about all this but, what I don't understand is that they are always telling us that if we know anything about a person bringing a gun to school to tell somebody...but who are we to tell if nobody listens? I just thought that I should share that with everyone and remember, If someone does threaten you,or someone you know, tell someone! Maby there was not enough proof for us but we did tell... But all in all, you must tell someone, at least you will know tha you have done the right thing.

I think that what has happened at all these schools is awful. It's funny to think that after all of these shootings my school has finally started to take charge over what goes on at my school. The weekend that this tragedy happened, to let you know, there was a gathering of 75,000 students from different Jr/Sr High School church groups. They had attended "Day One" which was all about their faith in God. We hope that their prayers were felt as hey had prayed and cried together about your situation. I personally think that if people were not as self centered and belived in cliches that none of this would have happened. I also think that maybe if people just simply respect another persons right to live that they wouldn't even dream of committing such a crime. We all need to change in one way or another.
