Get Your Reward from Toastmasters International

Toastmasters International recognises members and clubs who contribute to the serious business of membership building.

Toastmasters International has several opportunities for recognition:

1. Individual Recognition: for members who sponsor 5 or more new members in a Toastmasters year 1/7 – 30/6 the following year
2. Governor’s Award: Given to members after they sponsor 3 new members in a Toastmasters year 1/7-30/6 the following year
3. Smedley Award:1 August – 30 September 2005
4. Talk up Toastmasters: 1 February – 31 March 2006
5. Beat the Clock: 1 May 2006 – 30 June 2006
 

Clubs and members are encouraged to plan their year long membership building strategy around these key Toastmasters Contests to ensure maximum recognition for effort.

Individual Recognition Program Details:

This program begins 1 July 2005 and ends 30 June 2006

  • All members of Toastmasters Clubs are eligible

  • To receive credit as a sponsor your name must appear on the Application for Membership along with your Club number

  • New, dual and reinstated members count for credit. Transfer and Charter members do not

What do you receive for your efforts?

1. A themed pin is for those individuals who sponsor 5 new members
2. The Gold Star pin is the reward for those sponsoring 10 new members
3. Toastmasters necktie or scarf is given to members who sponsor 15 or more new members

Smedley Award – 1 August – 30 September 2005
This membership contest is conducted each year in recognition of our founder Dr Ralph Smedley. Clubs who add five (5) new members during the contest period will receive a Smedley Award ribbon for their club banner.


Talk Up Toastmasters 1 February – 31 March 2006
Clubs who add five (5) new members during the contest period will receive the Talk up Toastmasters ribbon for their club banner.


Beat the Clock 1 May - 30 June 2006
Finish the year with a BANG! Clubs adding five (5) new, dual or reinstated members during the contest period will earn a choice of one (1) item from the Better Speaker, Successful Club or Leadership Excellence Series
